Sobre Gusto
Gusto hace que la nómina, los beneficios y los recursos humanos sean increíblemente fáciles para las pequeñas empresas.
It is super helpful especially for start ups when there might not be a designated HR person and the support staff is very helpful.
Hard to set up, produces the wrong information, is hard to correct, little to no customer support.

Puntos a favor:

I’m an employment lawyer and I consistently recommend Gusto to my clients
Comentarios: Customer support is great. This is a good company. They aren’t the cheapest. And they aren’t the most expensive. I think the extra cost is worth it to ensure compliance.
Puntos a favor:
Gusto is easy and straightforward to use. But it doesn’t sacrifice accuracy for ease. What I like most about Gusto is that it makes it easy for small businesses to be legally compliant with complicated wage laws across jurisdictions. I haven’t found a legal error yet — and I can’t say that about any other payroll software or service I’ve worked with over the last 15 years.
Puntos en contra:
I wish the price didn’t jump up so much for time clock feature. Getting clients to use the integrated time clock can be a challenge, and it creates unnecessary problems. It should be included in the base fee.

Gusto - Streamlined Payroll Processing for Every Business
Comentarios: Overall, Gusto is a great choice for businesses of any size. The streamlined platform makes payroll processing efficient and compliant, and the customer service team is always available to answer any questions.
Puntos a favor:
Gusto is an incredibly efficient and user-friendly payroll platform. Setting up and running payroll can be done with just a few clicks - no need for complicated spreadsheets or manual paperwork. Plus, with automatic filing of payroll taxes, you can rest assured that your business is compliant.
Puntos en contra:
Gusto is not the most affordable payroll solution out there. The cost can add up quickly, especially for larger businesses.

Puntos a favor:
I like that they take care of filing the payroll tax forms
Puntos en contra:
Their customer service is HORRIBLE. LONG wait times. Talking with folks who do not speak English as their first language. No commitment to getting issues resolved. One of my clients' payroll was blocked because an error in Gusto's system caused them to think that I wasn't paying the bill. Turns out it was a software issue on their end and there was nothing I could do to fix it.I called right away at the beginning of the month and was told it would be resolved in a few days.At the end of the month, it appeared the issue had still not resolved, so I called in. They said they would create a ticket.A week later the issue was still not resolved (and as of the time of me writing this, it's still not resolved). This was nothing my client did wrong. This was nothing I did wrong. This was an issue with Gusto's back office. But yet, my client was the one who suffered because we could not process payroll on time.No one took responsibility to escalate and resolve this issue. For my friends who have a dedicated account rep, I've been told it works well. But if you don't have an account rep, don't waste your money on Gusto. It will be the biggest mistake you can make (aside from maybe choosing Quickbooks Payroll...)

Payroll Made Easy
Comentarios: Overall, Gusto has made processing payroll so simple. The platform is easy to use and navigate. The PTO tracking tool helps myself and staff be able to see how many hours they have used and how many they have left.
Puntos a favor:
Gusto allows me to run payroll aligned with ProCare. I love that I can enter information as the pay period goes and Gusto saves the changes. Time sheets are integrated from ProCare so I don't have to calculate hours worked.
Puntos en contra:
I have yet to find a feature that I do not like. Everything runs smoothly and employees are paid on time with direct deposit.

Transfer was a little shaky, but good system once up and running.
Comentarios: Payroll and onboarding are being taken care of by Gusto. Their HR looks good, but is a bit more expensive than we like right now.
Puntos a favor:
I like being able to onboard our new hires. It makes it so much easier and I don't have to worry about compliance or having the most recent form of the paperwork. They pay the taxes and create W2s and make my life easier. Thank you!
Puntos en contra:
The transfer was rough and had some glitches. Once all of that was worked out, it has been fairly smooth and easy.

Comentarios: 10 out of 10. Would recommend to everyone.
Puntos a favor:
I love how easy Guusto is to use. It is easy to navigate, easy to send and receive awards, and their customer service is second to none.
Puntos en contra:
The only thing I don't like currently is that I'm still new to the system so, we haven't finished our integration yet. Once that is done, I'm certain I'll have no complaints.

The best human resources (HR) and payroll software
Comentarios: Overall, Gusto is a comprehensive HR and payroll software solution that simplifies and automates key HR and payroll processes for small and medium-sized businesses. It offers features such as payroll processing, tax compliance, benefits administration, time tracking, employee onboarding, compliance management, integration and reporting, a user-friendly interface, mobile app, and customer support to help businesses efficiently manage their HR and payroll functions.
Puntos a favor:
User-friendly Interface: Gusto has a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate, making it accessible for businesses without extensive HR or payroll experience. It provides a dashboard that gives a comprehensive overview of key HR and payroll data, making it simple to manage employee data and processes in one place.Mobile App: Gusto offers a mobile app that allows employees to access their payroll and benefits information, view pay stubs, request time off, and update personal information from their mobile devices.
Puntos en contra:
Geographical Limitations: Gusto is primarily designed for businesses in the United States, and its tax and compliance features may not be as robust for businesses operating outside of the U.S. Businesses with international operations may find that Gusto's features and support for non-U.S. locations are limited.Complexity for Large Businesses: Gusto is designed for small and medium-sized businesses, and larger businesses with complex HR and payroll requirements may find that Gusto's features are not as comprehensive as other enterprise-level HR and payroll software solutions. Larger businesses with multiple locations, complex pay structures, or unique HR policies may require more advanced features that may not be available in Gusto.

Fantastic Product
Comentarios: Overall this product is fantastic, I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Puntos a favor:
Gusto makes it really easy for me to enjoy meals without having to worry about needing to go to the shop, or worry about what I have to make. I just pick 4/5 recipes every week over the weekend and a box arrives on my doorstep with the recipe cards and all the ingredients its fantastic.
Puntos en contra:
Sometimes the ingredients might not always be the best but I've been using this service for at least two years now and it is a very rare occurrence.

A great payroll system for smaller companies
Comentarios: Gusto has been a great solution for my start-up. We have quite simple payroll requirements and we don't really need an expensive processing solution (yet!).
Puntos a favor:
Overall, a very good solution for a small-to-medium enterprise. The best thing about Gusto is that there is an app for the employees - this is super helpful.
Puntos en contra:
While it's pretty easy to use from the get-go, no one at Guston seemed willing to train us properly on the software. We had to learn ourselves which is fine but more training content/tools would be appreciated.

Gusto; there's no reason to consider any other Payroll provider
Comentarios: Excellent. Been using it back when they were called "zenpayroll".
Puntos a favor:
It's fast, easy and inexpensive to use. They have a full platform with 401k, health insurance and other benefits built in.
Puntos en contra:
Overall the features are great, but I think the HR tools can be more powerful. The document section for example. There must be a better way to help organize it.

Comentarios: negative, cumbersome, patronizing, too expensive.
Puntos a favor:
Nothing. I was migrated to it from XERO, when they decided to no longer do payroll
Puntos en contra:
Honestly, I HATED the stupid animated piggy bank. Probably seems trivial, but it seemed emblematic of a company that was more concerned about making their software look like an iPhone app, than making it work well. The payroll was cumbersome. It woudn't let me do payroll early, or late. It basically made me run payroll within a two day window. Bank account low? Still made you run payroll, or would hassle you about messages about being late. Want to go on vacation and do a couple weeks of payroll early? Nope, out of luck. When they told me they would manage my health care premiums, I thought, great! Nope, after a week of emails and after several phone calls, I found out they were just trying to be group managers, and insurance brokers by offering me different insurers that I could choose. Zero help if I already had a group plan set up. Plus too expensive. Patriot is way simpler, and way cheaper. I do see lots of my millenial patients that are working for startups that probably won't be in business in 5 years seem to have Gusto as their payroll, so I'm just not the business that Gusto is a fit for.

Great Payroll Software for a Great Price
Comentarios: Overall, Gusto is great tool for achieving many of the Human Resource and Payroll functions for companies of all sizes. Gusto's ability to operate immediately as well as its ease of use make it perfect. The reminder functions in Gusto are phenomenal, well thought out and appropriately timed. The system runs well, without any issues. In fact, I don't really recall ever having an issue running payroll because Gusto was down. The product is well worth the money and has a great price point, considering all of the available functions. I would highly recommend Gusto.
Puntos a favor:
Gusto allows you to run payroll, effectively, upon sign-up. The system has numerous features that help to ensure that you are reminded when payroll is supposed to be run (as an administrator its something that is frequently forgotten when extremely busy), automatically tabulates and prepares tax documents for employees and contractors and even assisted with the preparation of forms for SBA Loans during the COVID-19 pandemic. The software is straightforward and is fairly self explanatory. Gusto is also a great onboarding tool that allows you to collect a significant portion of information needed to effectively onboard an employee and comply with state and federal requirements (E-verify, etc.) Overall, the software is excellent for its price point and well worth the money.
Puntos en contra:
The only con associated with Gusto is the lack of customizable report options. Obviously, this con is more of a company or need specific issue. We found that utilizing Gusto for certain reporting needs for data generation was cumbersome or not really possible. However, I must also say that there have only been two instances over the last 1-2 years that we have encountered this problem and were able to successfully obtain this information from other resources.

Best DIY software in the payroll market
Comentarios: I have been using Gusto for for a couple of years now and love it. They are consistently working on improving and seek guidance from their partners. Like with any software, there are funny little quirks that you get to know. Overall, it is a fantastic platform.
Puntos a favor:
Gusto's self-onboarding and employee communication is leaps and bounds ahead of their competition, as is their clean, user-friendly interface.
Puntos en contra:
Customer service has been struggling recently. There should be a way to have a salary that doesn't change when the hours are changed. The other downside is that if there is an error, you have to void the entire payroll. An option to void a single check would be a great improvement.

Great Payroll Processing Platform for Small Businesses
Comentarios: Overall Gusto has been great for our company. We save time and money handling payroll in-house, as opposed to paying an outside service to do it for us. And we have peace of mind that Gusto is there to support us when/if we need it.
Puntos a favor:
Gusto has been a great resource for us to handle our own payroll processing & HR management in-house. It is super easy to set up and manage and has a really intuitive user interface. Onboarding new employees is a snap, time-tracking is simple to manage for both employees and managers, and running payroll only takes us a few minutes twice a month. Having employees able to manage their own banking info and paycheck splits and W4s has saved our HR dept a ton of time and headaches. And we love having an online library of company forms and documents we can distribute to employees quickly and easily. Also, their customer support is amazing. We are signed up for the Conceriege level service and have a dedicated team of customer service people who are knowledgable and friendly and responsive and have helped us out with innumerable questions.
Puntos en contra:
Moving from our previous payroll processor (ADP) to Gusto was easy, because we decided to do it at the beginning of a new fiscal year. The one issue we did experience was in setting up our company's Federal and State tax filing details. Gusto does not assist you with this, so we had to track down all of our company's employer account #s and UI tax rates and filing frequencies for the 3 different states where we have employees and manually enter it into Gusto. We ended up making a mistake on one state's filing frequency, which ended up costing us a bit of $$ in penalties. It would have been nice if Gusto had been able to assist us with this as part of the switch over from ADP. Also, Gusto does not offer benefits administration in our state (yet). Hopefully that will be coming soon, as it would be nice to handle payroll and benefits through one platform. And they could cut down on the number of "recommended" services from affiliated companies that pop up on the admin dashboard these days.

User Friendly
Comentarios: Very good. We always recommend Gusto as one of the top payroll companies to use for our clients that are starting payroll for the first time.
Puntos a favor:
I use Gusto for my clients as well as for our own company. I find it very user friendly, especially for my tech-phobic clients. I also like their tech support. They are easy to reach by phone, chat or email and the technicians are very patient.
Puntos en contra:
The import mapping. This is the only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars. When the payroll is simple, the mapping is fine but for more complicated payrolls, the mapping is a nightmare. Also, that it imports to Xero as a bill. Clients find it really difficult to grasp how to work with this. In their mind payroll has already been "paid" so when they see it show up as an unpaid bill, they get confused or worried that their employees didn't get paid.

Comentarios: Great customer service, great value, great UI, I've referred to to so many people already.
Puntos a favor:
It's like someone was listening to me complain about Quickbooks payroll and ADP (and Tsheets) and made a software just for me. It's so simple - I was using an accountant to run payroll through ADP - Gusto saves so much time I can do it myself.
Puntos en contra:
The reporting tools aren't super robust.

Great payroll service for the little guy
Comentarios: Gusto is doing a better job than my previous payroll company for less money. They seem to really care about their customers and their experience.
Puntos a favor:
The payroll features make doing payroll very easy. The employees can log their times and I can easily verify them and sync it with payroll. I feel like this company really cares about their customers much more than my previous "large payroll provider"
Puntos en contra:
Site navigation can be a little bit difficult at times. I have to do some searching to find what I am looking for. Reporting is OK but could be better.

Changing my review after disastrous series of events with Gusto
Comentarios: Great... until it wasn't.
Puntos a favor:
Very clean design, easy to understand your account from your dashboard.
Puntos en contra:
After several years as a Gusto client (and a previous 5 star reviewer), I'm posting this second review regarding my experience. Gusto is great ... until it's not. When we refinanced our house, we discovered that Gusto had been incorrectly reporting on our W2's. This created a series of several complications that took several weeks and persistent calls to fix. Perhaps some of the liability falls with me, but when I tried to make corrections, it was extremely difficult, slow, and frustrating. I expected some level of expertise in correct filing of tax forms. Gusto entry level workers did not seem to have the experience to understand the complexities of 5013 organizations. The trouble continued. If you've ever experienced the bureaucratic run around of pressing through multiple layers of hierarchy to actually get someone who knows what they're talking about and has the authority to make changes - yeah, that's what I experienced. The problems continued into this year - anytime I had a problem, it consistently took waaaaaay to much time to get a response from someone who could actually fix my problem. Ultimately, I decided after several years to cancel my relationship with Gusto. If you have a company or non-profit where you know tax laws, Gusto will be great for you. If you're looking for a payroll company that provides excellent, timely customer service and a level of counsel/guidance regarding tax and payroll laws to protect you, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Love and Hate with Gusto
Comentarios: If all you are doing is simple payroll processing then I think this is a good option for you. If you have many employees and you offer benefits good luck. Gusto has the worst customer service I would say in the industry. It is extremely hard to get help from their customer service. It seems like the thought and belief is pass the buck to someone else.
Puntos a favor:
This software is easy to setup and has basic things for businesses. Gusto has a nice user website site that you can do many things very quickly. If you are looking for simple reports and processing than this is good.
Puntos en contra:
The Absolute worst customer service! If you ever need help with your payroll especially benefits administration good luck getting help. Gusto completely messed up our health insurance plans and signed up our employees with health plans that are not even offered in our state. It took 5 months and threats from our lawyers before they would finally respond from someone that knew what they were doing.

Simplifies everything- highly recommended for small business
Comentarios: Gusto was a life saver for our small business. It removed our need to hire dedicated HR in house at a time that we did not have resources to do so and allowed me, as the operations lead, to ensure payroll, onboarding, etc was completed accurately and timely. I'm no longer at an organization that uses Gusto and I miss it. ADP is probably still a better fit for larger teams, but its UI is much clunkier and the support less friendly and helpful. My experience using Gusto as the primary administrator for a small team (during Covid-19, no less) was second to none and I'd recommend the platform at any opportunity.
Puntos a favor:
Onboarding employees and contractors is incredibly intuitive and simple through Gusto. Along with extending a position offer, I'd submit basic information about the new hire to Gusto and they would take care of collecting their direct deposit info and getting W4s, I9s, and other onboarding documents completed. Payroll processing was a breeze through the system, allowing quick approvals of hours for non FTE and summary totals of total payroll and total benefits before running. You can't miss payroll without trying, either- there are timely reminders of when approvals are due, including when payroll dates were off the regular schedule because of holidays, etc. During tax time, Gusto generated W2s and 1099s that we could review quickly and send out. Gusto especially shined during Covid-19 when SBA loans were being issued. They created a feature that would walk you, the business owner, through the process and help you apply for loan forgiveness with all backing data. Finally, customer service and access to information is a top feature. As someone without an HR background and on a small team, our Gusto rep became my go-to source.
Puntos en contra:
I was extremely happy with Gusto and didn't experience any pain points.
