Sobre Cloudways
Proporciona una plataforma de alojamiento administrado para implementar populares aplicaciones basadas en PHP en el alojamiento de infraestructura en tan solo unos clics.
Great and reliable hosting. Yes, they charge a bit extra on top of the service providers but it's well worth it.
Not being able to talk with a live person regarding questions, problems, etc.

Lo mas facil para empezar con servidores en la nube
Comentarios: Mi experiencia con Cloudways es muy buena porque ellos se encargan de mantener tu VPS en linea
Puntos a favor:
Best hosting provider EVER!
Comentarios: Everything related to managing my websites I can now do with Cloudways. They even offer additional services such as 25GB mailboxes. Although more expensive than cPanel-based hosts, this is also way superior... They have other services as well that are super useful and professional. Just way better than anything out there. I tried them.
Puntos a favor:
- Easy to use - Much better interface than cPanel (their own system) - Choice between various reputable service providers - Incredible support - Super fast, responsive, truly helpful (most of the time) - Easy to create and manage multiple servers as well as create staging sites across servers - Competitive pricing - Trustworthy service, I never had any downtime. This EASES my mind and releaves stress, knowing that I can trust them with all my client websites.
Puntos en contra:
Nothing. Seriously. I love everything about Cloudways. Are there ways they could improve? Sure.. I guess. But I can't think of anything right now!
Alternativas consideradas previamente:
Managed Webhosting for a good price with a very accessible server team.
Comentarios: I was able to run 2 E-commerce applications on one server with excellent performance. I like how they integrate Email and Cloudways Enterprise CDN into your server solution.
Puntos a favor:
I do appreciate the customer service via chat. Usually, they respond in less than 5 min and are able to fix issues, that cause downtime on the website.
Puntos en contra:
some of the administrative options like file and folder permissions can only be accessed through Customer Service. It be nice to be able to get that done by the user.
A Simple, Fast, and Flexible Cloud Hosting Solution
Comentarios: solves the problem of complex cloud hosting by making it easy to manage servers with a simple dashboard.
Puntos a favor:
What I like most about cloudways is its flexibility and ease of use.
Puntos en contra:
it doesn’t offer domain registration or built-in email hosting
AVOID Cloudways
Comentarios: Wish I could share screenshots here - my experience went from being a #1 fan of Cloudways to sharing all over how terrible they are. I run an agency that has relied on their services for years and they have steadily gotten worse month by month. I have screenshots & documentation from as far back as April reporting server issues. Suddenly performance took a nose dive and support keeps applying "optimizations" to the server which actually make it worse. Each screenshot shows one agent make a fix, followed by another that reverses the change saying it was incorrect, followed by the next redoing the change. This cycle has continued for months now and they refuse to do any real investigation.
Puntos a favor:
It was once a great service - the platform itself is easy to use.
Puntos en contra:
The support and back-end performance. Websites perform terribly, their support system has 0 idea what they are dong when configuring them and often breaks things. They offer no assistance to fix it and leave your server performing terribly.
The worst nightmare of a hosting company
Comentarios: My experience with Cloudways was a nightmare. I dealt with 10s of hosting companies and none of them were so careless towards their customers.
Puntos a favor:
I liked mostly what is not cloudways' pro but rather digitalocean's. The server performance is good.
Puntos en contra:
They have the worst customer care in the industry. They automatically remove server AND public IP only after 48 hours without any prior notifications or anything. They are terrible at communicating such a drastic measure they are taking absolutely disregarding how it'll affect the customer. the IP lease cost only $3.60 month. Even keeping this IP for a month for the services you paid them would only cost $3.60... But they decide to release your IP only after 48... They are that cheap!!
Don't use them they don't care!
Puntos a favor:
After 2 years of hard work and hundreds of hours spent building my website they deleted it for an unpaid bill of $13!! I tried adding my new card details onto their system but it would not accept it. I then paid the outstanding amount of $13 but it was still deleted and they did not even back my website up so all is lost! I am furious with them and currently seeking legal advice. Do not use them!!!
CLOUDWAYS ARE THIEVES
Puntos a favor:
I guess if I owned Cloudways I would like how overpriced they are, because I could just steal customers money and get super rich.
Puntos en contra:
Following their buyout by DigitalOcean I recieved my first and only phone call from Cloudways, asking if I would like a discount on the next 3 months of hosting. They explained that my site would be migrated from Vultr to DigitalOcean for free, seamlessly and without any issue. The migration was a joke, many of my regular customers got double charged as both servers were running concurrently, issues that took me hours to personally fix! This also hurt my reputation with customers, many refunds had to be given obviously! Then came the real kick. Cloudways DOUBLE CHARGED ME for both servers (the agreement was that I would get 14 days to close my old server without charge, which I did in 7 days). They took money from my account with authorisation. When I asked for a refund they flat out refused and only replied with this "Due to the nature of locked revenue, refunds are not possible". I have contacted them at least 10+ times via email / online chat to try and get this fixed but noone cares. They have said they would call me, they do not. Everything is misdirection and lies. Noone even responsed to my first email for 16 days!...and the service chat people say they are unable to help with billing matters - so I got the full runaround and deflection. Due to the problems with Cloudways I have moved my hosting to another provider where I have a much faster server (and the website is at least 2x faster), and the cost is HALF of what I was paying at Cloudways. If you're considering Cloudways, DON'T DO IT. Look at xCloud (xcloud.host), half the price, double the speed. Cloudways still owe me money but they refuse to refund. I'm now opening a transaction dispute with my bank as it is clearly theft and against the agreement. They are sticking with this "Upon authorizing your credit card on Cloudways, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions for automatic debiting."..... But taking more than agreed from my account is illegal and they need to provide refunds!
I was assigned a blacklisted IP
Comentarios: I was initially impressed with Cloudways' platform, but my experience took a drastic turn when I was assigned a blacklisted IP. This resulted in severe email deliverability issues, significantly impacting my business operations. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the problem with their support team, I was unable to find a satisfactory solution. The lack of proactive measures to prevent such issues is a major concern. I would caution potential users to be aware of this potential risk before choosing Cloudways.

Unjustified Charges for AutoScale Plan - Request for Refund (Invoice #4112485)
Puntos a favor:
It was easy to migrate and setup the hosting
Puntos en contra:
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding the charges incurred on my account for the AutoScale plan, despite not utilizing any resources during the specified billing period. My account is associated with the invoice number #4112485, and upon reviewing my billing statement, I was dismayed to discover that I have been consistently billed for the AutoScale plan, even though my website has not been utilizing any resources that warrant such charges. It is disconcerting that the process for unsubscribing or modifying the subscription plan is not clear, and this lack of transparency has resulted in unwarranted financial implications for me. As a customer, I expect to have a clear and straightforward method for managing my subscription and ensuring that I am only charged for the services I actively use. I kindly request that you investigate this matter promptly and provide a thorough explanation as to why I have been charged for the AutoScale plan despite the absence of resource utilization on my end. Additionally, I am seeking an immediate refund for the charges incurred erroneously. I value the services provided by Cloudways and have appreciated the convenience it has brought to my hosting needs. However, this billing discrepancy has eroded my confidence in the service, and I trust that you will address this matter promptly and with the utmost urgency. Please acknowledge the receipt of this complaint at your earliest convenience and provide a timeline for resolution. I believe in a swift and amicable resolution to this matter and look forward to your prompt response.
Cloudways for WordPress - great speed, but not so easy to use
Comentarios:
Cloudways is a great platform, but it might be a bit more advanced for beginners setting up their first website.
While Cloudways offers excellent performance, its features might be overwhelming for someone just starting out.
Puntos a favor:
1. Using Cloudways can provide your wordpress website some nice loadtimes and help with SEO performance. 2. The support team is good and helping.
Puntos en contra:
1. The setup process can be challenging for new users. 2. Cloudways can be expensive, especially for beginners with small websites. 3. The management portal might not be the most user-friendly, especially at first.
Best of Cloudways
Comentarios: Cloudways is the best overseen cloud facilitating administration that offers me the tranquil facilitating experience so I could zero in on my sites' development.
Puntos a favor:
Cloudways gives a quality control board to a cloud server, premium proactive help, and a quick, streamlined WordPress stage at a sensible cost.
Puntos en contra:
I'm totally happy with the cloud server administration with adaptable and versatile highlights.
expensive, but fully managed
Comentarios: Good, easy to use and very little in the way of issues. Set it and forget it type of server management!
Puntos a favor:
This is fully managed hosting on good servers. I like that the support will help you with almost anything and the control panel is the most user friendly I've used for this sort of thing.
Puntos en contra:
The costs are high if you choose powerful servers, double the upstream provider cost. Also, Cloudways owns the server, not you. This makes me uneasy if there's ever an issue with Cloudways in the future, it could be difficult to get control of your data.
Very bad experience with customer support
Comentarios: Hurrible
Puntos a favor:
Cloudways have a pretty solid managed wp solution. It could almost count as very good if not for the very poor customer service experience.
Puntos en contra:
The customer experiences me and my co-worker got from support from a guy named [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], was simply horrible. His attitude was very arrogant and impatient. He wrote us off with a "It's a dns propagation problem, wait a few hours and it should be ok" excuse, even though we tried to tell him couple of times, to no avail, that the dns was'nt tampered with for a long time. When I did an nslookup from my computer it resloved without a problem. When I asked Mr [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] to please do an nslookup on his side, he repeated his annyoing reply: "I can understand it is showing in NS lookup but still the concern is domain isn't propagated Worldwide so please check your site after a few hours your concern hopefully resolved." "Please don't worry, just wait, as I have stated many times above your site will be up again once DNS propagated Worldwide" The bad part in all of this story is that we were trying to resolve a crash on an ecommerce website of one of our clients. We chose cloudways for their reputation, and left hanging without any help or permissions to do the things needed to try and fix this. This is absolutly unacceptable and a hurrible customer service, one of the worst that I ever got online. Would not reccomend cloudways to anyone. Not if you value your uptime.
Great alternative to shared hosting if you know a little
Comentarios: I've been using Cloudways for a little while but I'm really really liking it. I came from a shared hosting plan and cPanel and couldn't be happier. I feel like I can finally grow my web businesses without all the constraints that normally come with shared hosting and dealing with typical hosting companies.
Puntos a favor:
Cloudways was so easy to set up. I was able to get a server on Digital Ocean setup in a matter of minutes, and then 6 websites (as applications) setup and live in no time. What I like the most - Customer service is awesome. They help me solve a problem that I caused, and corrected it for me. - You can spin up a new server or application very quickly - Adding email and CDN is cost effective and easy to do - Ability to scale my server based on my needs - No month-to-month contracts - Interface is clean and easy to navigate and 100% better than cPanel What I'm experimenting with - They offer staging environments but they are still in beta. I'll be playing around with them a little more in the future to better understand how I can use them in my workflow. They do offer the ability to clone staging environments to a live server with a click of a button so that looks promising.
Puntos en contra:
Their online documentation isn't as detailed as it needs to be. I found myself Googling a few things to get my applications and domain setup correctly. Many times I found the answers I needed on another blog post or by piecing together info from several differnt sources. I hope they are able to update their docs in the future and can provide a more detailed guide for domain provisioning.
I love it.
Puntos a favor:
I switched from an AIG owned shared server to this, the pricing is not far off from what I was paying and the benefits of using Cloudways are insane. It's so fast, easy to use, and affordable.
Puntos en contra:
They really need to implement a few things, first, if you have the option to add team members, fix the bug that doesnt allow you to add an existing member of cloudways. I don't want 100 different logins for all my clients. Give me an easy to use dashboard for all of them. Second, add a whitelabel option so I can resell this to clients. Third, make the SMTP setup better, or add an email server to the servers that you sell. 4, customer support is decent at best, compared to Flywheel it is truly lacking.
Wordpress hosting made easy
Comentarios: I can provision a website in a blink of an eye, without messing with db configuration, complex https setup. A huge time saver and a pretty solid hosting service.
Puntos a favor:
I love the overall simplicity of the platform. You could be up and running in 5 minutes straight. What it took about an hour (setup the server space, upload files via ftp, setup HTTPS certificates...) with Cloudways can be accomplished in a matter of minutes!
Puntos en contra:
I spotted some slow performance from time to time, nothing awful but sometimes annoying. I'm on the lower paid plan anyway...
Good intentions, horrible customer service congruency
Comentarios: While I was hopeful moving to Cloudways would provide an easier workflow for server management many tasks with Cloudways unnecessarily eat up a tremendous amount of time when dealing with their support team. The support staff is incredibly inconsistent, and where one tech will direct you to completing 1-2 hours of work to complete your task, the next person will say that was wrong and start you somewhere else. This cycle tends to continue. This has been my experience with every interaction with their support team aside from one.
Puntos a favor:
Adding developers / team members to your server
Puntos en contra:
Customer support and complete lack or organization among support techs
Best Hosting Provider on the Planet!
Comentarios: I migrated 2 sites over to cloudways. One was 16g! No issues, sites came right up using https.
Puntos a favor:
I migrated to Cloudways from another leader in the industry. Cloudways pricing structure is absolutely wonderful. The ability to add cores or space is extremely helpful as well. Love love cloudways!
Puntos en contra:
The lack of a cpanel took some getting used to as well as not having control over my email accounts.
Accesible cloud hosting with reliable support
Comentarios: I was in two minds when it came to trialling cloudways; there were some bad reviews floating around but all with an older date to them. I'm glad I made use of the trial as I've had nothing but good touchpoints with them, and I've had everything I need out of spinning up an affordable server with solid performance.
Puntos a favor:
- Very affordable - 24/7 support - Free trial - Easy migration - Integrated staging
Puntos en contra:
I've had zero problems or extra desires from Cloudways as of yet.
Amazing hosting for agencies
Puntos a favor:
- Very easy to setup granular permissions - Very fast servers to choose from (AM3, Vultr, Etc) - Free staging environment
Puntos en contra:
- It takes the intervention of a support member to add the email add-on...
Bad vendor
Comentarios: Very bad company. When you will need them - they won't be there for you as a customer. On the other side, they know well to charge you double.
Puntos a favor:
nothing that I find as good to share about
Puntos en contra:
Their non-care about billing issues. So sad
Switching to Cloudways was easy and never looked back
Comentarios: I've saved so much time by not having to worry about the websites going down or being hacked as Cloudways covers both of these issues.
Puntos a favor:
The switch to Cloudways from a previous hosting company was extremely simple and fast.
Puntos en contra:
The UI can get a bit of getting used to but after some time it's actually more simple and easy to use than other software.
Cloudways
Puntos a favor:
This software is easy to use reliable and also affordable for me there are better hosting platforms than cloudways in terms of price it beats all records
Puntos en contra:
The disadvantage is that it the ability to send emails by users
Good Cloud Web Hosting
Puntos a favor:
Performance is excellent - pages load much faster than on my previous VPS host. Support is good, both through knowledgebase and online chat. Access to resources is pretty good, via SFTP and SSH and MySQL Workbench
Puntos en contra:
Don't have as much control over resources as you do with a VPS. No phpMyAdmin, though they claim you can install it yourself but the instructions are incomplete regarding creating users. I used MyQL Workbench but that is a Mac application so is not a solution for everyone. Had problems creating email accounts for domains that did not have content, violates their anti-spam rules
