Excellent HRIS for Canadian SMEs
Comentarios: We switched to Humi from a lesser Canadian provider and every day since I have kicked myself for not doing it sooner. The system is so simple and intuitive to use, the customer support is top notch and it makes us look professional. We never have anything to worry about with Humi!

The payroll is so simple to use, the time and vacation tracker has saved us a ton of time and the offer letter/onboarding process is seamless. There isn't an aspect of Humi that we don't like!

Great product for an affordable price
Comentarios: The overall experience has been great. I brought Humi into a former company and the one I am currently with.
Puntos a favor:
Humi is incredibly easy for employees to use. We use it for recruiting, hiring/onboarding, employee performance reviews, payroll, and offboarding. As the main administrator, I find Humi extremely straightforward and able to get all the information I need.
Puntos en contra:
The performance section is overall good but, compared to other survey software such as Survey Monkey, it is not as advanced. The goal setting can be a bit confusing.

Provides a variety of key components such as time off requests by the employee, employee tracking, recruiting, uploading and signing documents for on-boarding along with various helpful tasks that can be assigned.

Some of the settings required to adjustments and trial and error.

User friendly; poor reporting
Comentarios: Overall, the software is user-friendly and meets our basic needs. We moved payroll to another provider due to errors. Humi has been very focused on developing its scheduling platform and as a result, other improvements and suggestions for feature enhancements have been largely ignored. I am hopefully that they will continue to develop and make the software more efficient.

Humi has made a number of improvements to its applicant tracking/recruiting systems and we are satisfied with this program. There could be further improvements to make it more efficient but overall, it works.
Puntos en contra:
The reporting tools have been very disappointing and not usable in most cases. A basic turnover report with analytics is very important to us and we do not currently have this ability.

Very useful, but still needs love with the translation
Comentarios: We likle humi - we still have a few complaints from the supervisors regarding the english and the performance that are long (every question needs an answer)

The translation from english to french The fact that the supervisors can't accept / deny vacations on the email The fact that the employee can't search in the documents (only the admin")

Good for smaller company but don't expect high level functionality
Comentarios: Setup was a breeze and it was great to go from no system to having a system but now that we are fully involved in using the system I am finding a lot of limitations. Serve has been great when there has been an user but I don't find that HUMI itself seems to be focused on improving areas that will have the most impact to their clients.

HUMI is very user friendly. Good for a smaller company that wants basic functionality to manage Human Resource tasks. Recruitment model is very straight forward and easy to manage. The Payroll team is fantastic, efficient and timely.

Functionality of some of the elements is very basic. The performance management module is almost useless. It was not setup with a performance management cycle in mind. Options for employee status need to be added to make the set up more functional. Training module setup isn't very practical either.

Comentarios: Implementation was a breeze, It is allot easier to use and pull reports then my last software was. My experience has overall been good.

I like the platform and how easy it was to learn and use. I like the reporting it is robust and i can customize for my own needs. Onboarding and storing documents in Humi is extremely easy.

They need better support for a paid service i would expect a chat or call center during regular business hours. This is payroll and its very time sensitive so if an issue arises support isn't always there to help.

I find there are some navigation issues sometimes. ie. time off taking you back to the main page when you just want to be in an employee's profile. Surveys also are not the best with the new data as you cannot see separate surveys anymore

Humi is a game changer

The first thing you notice when you get onto Humi is how clean the design is. Wow Wow Wow. Usually my employees have trouble navigating softwares, but with Humi, my employees have become very independent. They just launched the Humi Go App which allows them to request Time-Off, and see their balances on their phone. No more email exchanges or paper forms for this gal! It was hard to find a Canadian company that did everything I needed until I found Humi. Whether it was just storing employee data, running payroll, or even administering benefits, they handled it all. Its nice to have one point of source for all your internal employee needs. There is so much in the system its hard to get into everything but some of the best features are; the document center (where you can upload, edit and send out documents for signature, customized to each employee), onboarding (digitally on-board new hires to the company where they can sign contracts, fill out personal details, and access their own employee platform), and time-off (easily set up leave types and track leave for all employees). Their integrated Payroll is the icing on the cake. It really reduced the errors we had from transferring our changes to our old clunky payroll system (ADP). The buying process was very quick and simple. We had a couple demos to showcase the platform and then we had the pricing conversation. Price is per employee and on a month to month basis and they didn't charge us for implementation which was superb.

There were a couple things they do not have that would be helpful. We currently have a couple hourly employees, and they don't have a clock in/clock out system. However we use the additional fields section to track these.

Comentarios: Positive experience after using the software for 1.5 years. Some early challenges in the first few months but after that very easy to use.

Some functionality on the payroll side is awkward and not easily adjustable without having to go through the Help Desk to do back end changes. The help desk is not easy to access all the time as you have to send an email and wait for them to respond. Humi does not directly submit T4's to CRA. Have to use ROE Web to access your ROE's.

Would love to have payroll reports for specific employees. Some bugs here and there but the team is open to learning about them.

Still too much manual work required
Comentarios: It was OK for a short time, we had hopes that investments were being made into the product but nothing has changed over the last year and a half that adds enough value for us to continue using it. Will be switching to a new platform in the new year – probably bamboo.

It has some good basic features and pricing was better than other options, unfortunately for a scaling business we need something more robust.

The reporting dashboard and performance management are the weakest modules, we need to export information in order to pull any meaningful insights. Customer support also not a highlight.

Very automated to assign all documents to new hires, the process is electronic, not requiring printing documents...user friendly.

After hiring an employee, if you don't assign the documents at point of hire, you have to add documents individually to employee (time consuming).

Comentarios: It's been a great asset to our company to track and store all our HR files in the cloud rather than storing hard copies in the office.

Storing all HR info in one secure place is very handy. It's also great that it allows employees to request days off and automatically tracks these against their alloted time off.

The documents are clunky and it's hard to personalize them to each employee. I wish more customization was possible so that you could have one form that could be filled out by each employee.

Our experience
Comentarios: Our original purpose for the system was vacation tracking. It met that need and we tried to make further use of the systems capabilities but it is not flexible enough for us to deploy it across the team.

It's a Canadian product, that was the first draw. It works well to track vacation and manage leaves

The compensation tracking is lacking - targets/actuals for incentive pay, the performance management system is not flexible and does not allow us to follow our preferred methodology (sequence of reviews)

- Makes payroll a easy 3-step process. Automated remittances are a great feature. - Employees are onboarded and added to the payroll system automatically. - Convenient benefit summary for staff. Brokers were easy to work with.

A Quickbooks Online integration with payroll would be the item I am missing most with this software.

Mobile experience is poor. Integration with Quickbooks Online for auto payroll syncing does not exist so requires manual workarounds. Recruiting tool looks good, but in practice is clunky and does not play well with key recruiting sites like Indeed.
