It is the best integration I have seen so far.
Also could not post a route larger than 20 stops, that is the limit built into Samsara, we can have routes with up to 30 stops in a day.

Comentarios: My overall experience with samsara is outstanding.

Samsara allows me to accurately track and monitor my fleet of vehicles. Safety inspections allow tracking of vehicle service and maintenance. Also, the app allows drivers to login lunch breaks. This app has everything you need to monitor drivers and vehicles.

What I like least about samsara is the price of the service.

Ease of product. The alerts are pretty accurate. Easy installation of hardware.

Speed limit alerts are not consistence. I know Google maps is used for speed limits, so you are locked into an inadequate system.
Horrible cancellation policies and practices
Comentarios: I own a small service and repair company where I sought out a vehicle tracking service back in 2021 to keep an eye on 3 service vans, a couple of trailers and a lift. I saw good reviews online and chose Samsara. The services they provided was a bit overkill for my small operation, and was quite pricey, but I stuck with them. In February of 2024, I started winding down my business in preparation for retirement, and I contacted Samsara and told them by phone I was closing my business and wanted to discontinue my service. They instructed me to round up all my devices and they would send me instructions to return them. I un-installed all of the trackers from my vehicles and boxed them up for return. When I called Samsara back for return instructions, they informed me I still had 6 more months on my "Contract". They also told me they no longer needed the equipment back. I was very frustrated with this situation, but went ahead and let them draft the next 6 months of payments on my credit card which they have on file (Bad mistake to give them credit card authorization). When they continued charging my charge card in August, September and beyond, I called again to stop this. They told me I had my account on "Auto-renew" and it renewed in July. Now they offered a "Settlement" where they wanted me to pay over $2,600 if I wanted to cancel the service. They have and outrageous system of "ticket requests" that expire quickly, overseas call center "Billing issues" staff and what appears to me to be a very intentional smoke and mirrors system of generating massive income from the unethical and unfair business practices of dodging cancellation requests. I have not used their tracking service for nearly a year now, and I am still fighting to stop them from drafting my credit card. If you are a small business, be very wary of this company!!!

Comentarios: Its been good, like the integration, customer service is bad as is hard to talk to a live person. Also the alerts don't work well, some times they don't alert when they are suppose to be trigger, and the ELD log book sometimes disconnects and the driver has to refresh to get signal so the status gets updated. The bad thing about this is that while disconnected it does not shows correct hours for carrier, alerts don't get trigger, and when stopped by DOT driver has to refresh quick because the ELD will be stock on the last status, but DIT officers don't like drivers on the phone prior of Inspections. We got a violation once from a dot office because the status was not updated. But I will still keep the service bc it helps integration with brokers and helps on tracking regardless, but needs improvement

A Very Thorough System
Comentarios: So far I have had a great time with working with Samsara. They helped me with a very large transition for my company and have always been able to provide support and equipment for all my needs. Their telematics system has done wonders for organizing a lot of data for our company, including helping keep us on the ball with our drivers.

The ease of use, good interface, helpful and quick support, consistent updates, a plethora of efficient equipment. Lots of features in how to keep track of company analytics. Speedy delivery.

Some slow server speeds at certain times, a few oddities when using the system, some unintuitive or non-detailed information in certain reports. It can also get quite expensive, especially their shipping rates.

Consolidated invoicing!!!! Also love the ability to see my vehicles at all times and reports! I monitor vehicles and equipment for 3 different companies.

Google maps are not updated often enough. Receive speeding alerts when posted speed limit is higher than what Samsara shows.

Comentarios: It has been great. Compared to older telematics having cameras showing behaviors has made all the difference.

It is not what I don't like about Samsara as much as it is I need to understand more about transfer old gateways that used to be assigned in old trucks into new trucks

Support is terrible. Access to support is the worst. Then when/if you get through, the first person you talk to can only read the screen/error. No depth of knowledge. Why cant drivers see the picture from their own devices? When running a split clock, drivers cannot view upcoming rollover hours easily. I end up sending screen shots to the drivers so they can plan.

Samsara renewal is a joke
Comentarios: They are well above price of their competitors. Verizon's Connect is $5 per device per month cheaper and their customer service is unparalleled. They are quick to get your money and then ghost customers that have been loyal for over 3 years. They had so much going for them. But they have a 1.2 out of 5 rating on BBB and their google reviews are in the tank. They respond with a generic response but don't actually do anything.

The equipment works and we were able to track the vehicles. The ai feature works great.

The customer service. [sensitive content hidden] will not answer your messages or phone calls. We were suppose to do a renewal and he is absent. There is a bottleneck for the renewal where you can only deal with him. His management team doesn't intervene. You are left at his disposal. 3 weeks in the process of renewal with 7 systems failing. You can't buy replacements because you have to be in contract.

Comentarios: Samsara is a tool I use every day all day. When I talk to to other safety leaders I steer them towards smasara.

I have used numerous providers, samsara is #1 for me. Great support and very easy for admin and drivers to use.

A real deal system.
Comentarios: It's been good. Any type of technology is going to have some issues here and there, so not really anything that is unexpected.

It allows us real time tracking, communication to drivers, route info easy to send... Most of the features are useful here.

I could only pull tidbits of a driver's previous trip history which is a bummer, and as mentioned earlier in review, the system if unplugged loses tracking location in which, the reason we made the switch is because we were told that it would continue to track.

Comentarios: The information that Samsara provides cannot be matched. The accuracy of data and speed of updates is unmatched in the field. I could not do my job as effectively without it.

Samsara or Bust
Comentarios: I have been using it the past 5 years and it has been a great resource for me to learn and use.

It is a great software for tracking and elogs. I use it all week and all day from checking hours and routes. I am able to use it on my pc and phone and aslo has a app based product. It is very useful in the trucking industry. I have used other programs in the past but this one is all inclusive.

I dislike that when I try to zoom into the maps the exit number doesn't become any more visible.

I like how easy it was for me to learn how to use. It helps us to keep track of how our drivers are doing out on the road. The AI is pretty accurate for the most part and I like how you can give feedback if the alert was incorrect. The cameras are also very high quality and good to have if there's ever an accident.

Right now I'm having an issue with the camera IDs that I'm working to resolve. It's not picking up on some people who have been here for a long time and have 100% on their camera training. When it does work correctly, it's very helpful to automatically assign drivers.

Support Response Times - some times it takes a while to get an answer and then it's just a link to the Samsara help site, that I told support I had already checked. GPS/Speeds - GPS still pulls wrong roadways or shows the driver in a field. The speeds are still a manual update, stating the speed is 25mph when it's actually 55mph or 60mph.

MADE THE SWITCH
Comentarios: I started out with the Samsara product on half of my equipment and another company on the other half. As soon as the contract was up on the other company I switched all of my equipment to Samsara for a superior product.

I really like the GPS tracking and the ease of downloading videos. I was using another system and GPS tracking was a guess at best and the camera system shut off at the point I needed it most.

The main issue that I have with Samsara is trying to get ahold of anyone for tech support or billing questions,

The admin side of the system is very easy to use. I can find assets and check how they are doing easily.

Camera system is not part of all admin rights and only being able to be assigned rights to only one permission level for the entire company.

Comentarios: My overall experience with Samsara has been very positive. Starting with the sales rep [sensitive content hidden] W, he was very professional, knowledgeable about the product and very eager to assist with any questions we had. The product delivery was very fast and was well packaged. Installation of the product was very easy and with [sensitive content hidden] help was done within a few hours. Setup of the system was very simple and the tutorial videos made it easy to navigate the dashboard. All that said I don't know why every Company doesn't utilize this system.

Samsara is user friendly and takes much of the guess work out of locating our Ambulances. Whether using on mobile device or on a computer Samsara has become a vital part of our everyday operations. We use Samsara for Maintenance tracking/documentation, real time tracking of assets along with monitoring of safety concerns.

Ability to track drivers in real time. I also like the ease of calling up videos which has been extremely beneficial in accident investigation as well as correcting bad behaviors.

Nothing I important I can think of. A minor annoyance is the sensitivity of the crash alerts. I sometimes get them when a truck hits a bump in the road or when hooking up a trailer.
Best bang for your buck

Samsara has been hands down one of the easiest telematics providers we have worked with. They have gotten the product out immediately, and made activating these devices seamless. They have also offered the best pricing that I have seen in the industry.

We still have not been able to get all the data points we want from our entire fleet. While Samsara has tried to help with some information, it feels we are still on our own to ultimately troubleshoot.

Comentarios: I've had a chance to attend a few interactive webinars and experience more of the training side of Samara which has enhanced my experience on the platform exponentially. Those experiences set Samsara apart from other platforms and utilizing the platform has also been valuable to growing our fleet.

GPS locating isn't always pinpoint accurate. We find depending on what side of a parking lot we've docked, it may provide a different address than the actual building it is at-which becomes a compliance concern when comparing to manifests.
