Sobre Navan
TripActions te permite crear, administrar y escalar un programa de gestión de viajes corporativos de prestigio mundial con facilidad.
TripActions can be integrated with my company 's expense system and make my reimbursement so much easier. Notifications are useful as reminders before the trip.
One thing that is still extremely frustrating is changing a flight or hotel.

Expense and Travel Management Tool
Puntos a favor:
Being multi-device SSO online software.Online travel management amongst others.
Puntos en contra:
Nothing to dislike since it meets all under one roof.
Customer Service can't be beat
Puntos a favor:
The customer service is fantastic. At the airport with flight delays, I can jump on a chat with a real person who will work to figure out alternatives. There have been some application quirks but hopping on with CS tended to fix the issues in short order. Our company also implemented "saving sharing" where the employee would get a cut of the savings - in the form of a gift card to Amazon or whatever - if they chose a travel option that was more economical then some threshold or average. This was a very popular feature.
Puntos en contra:
It didn't integrate well with Frequent Flyer status and sometimes failed to show options that were allowed under travel policy. For example, status that allowed selection of premium economy for free would sometimes not work right, and you'd have to call after the booking to get it fixed. Additionally, even though policy allowed for upgrade to business in some cases, the application still fired off a "this is out of policy" warning. It also wasn't always the cheapest option - in a couple cases booking directly through the airline was actually most cost effective.
Not my first or second choice
Comentarios: I requested my employer to stop using Navan because it was not reliable in choosing the best pricing and the most efficient and reliable flights.
Puntos a favor:
I didn't like anything about the app, and only used it when mandated by my employer.
Puntos en contra:
Navan chose very inconvenient flight routes but most importantly, Navan did not always choose the best pricing. Combining layovers and unreliable carriers with higher prices than I could find on my own led me to ask my employer to skip the usage of Navan.
Great All in One Product for Travel and Expense
Puntos a favor:
Navan makes it really easy for me to book trips for work travel and to submit expense reports associated with that travel. The UI is great as it is very simple to use and very user friendly as well. Navan is a very intuitive travel and spend platform all in one solution.
Puntos en contra:
The only con I have noticed is that sometimes the search for travel or hotel will not populate the full list of options versus if you are looking at google flights or agencies like Expedia, you get more options and sometimes with better pricing.
Phone no more
Comentarios: No longer need to book and expense my own travel - save money out of my own pocket.
Puntos a favor:
Being a road warrior (>125 miles with Delta a year) there is never a shortage of travel issues and problems, but Trip Actions quick customer service (chat function) is always there for you.
Puntos en contra:
- Please integrate the corporate discount rate with BonVoy, I continue to book my hotels outside the system to grab the best rate.
Trip Actions
Comentarios: TripActions has vastly exceeded all of my expectations. I was very concerned when we switched platforms recently, and I have been extremely pleased with the UI and experience.
Puntos a favor:
Tripactions is a very intuitive expense report and booking platform for travel. It has more capabilities than other platforms on the market and has the ability to generate reimbursements within 24 hours.
Puntos en contra:
Thus far, I haven't seen many cons to the product. The only hurdle can be that the trips have to be approved by a an approver prior to going to the booking page. That is more of an internal issue.

Good Software
Comentarios: Great..Improvement on Fare group shopping and categorization
Puntos a favor:
Usable interface and easy navigation.Good reference points and easy/affordable price points on different airports.
Puntos en contra:
we should add more functionalities on the ancillary and LBS(leg based shopping)
Trusty Travel and Expense Tool
Comentarios:
It is a hefty expense manager but booking trips via Navan is something else and we could not find a pattern internally how to deal with it.
Some trips are booked via Navan, some are booked elsewhere due to pricing.
Puntos a favor:
Ease of use and nice UI/UX. Many booking options and expenses categories.
Puntos en contra:
You are stuck only with Navan booking options, some areas and destinations can be incredibly expensive for now reason if booking via the app. Fees are everywhere so watch out and monitor for the best deal there is in the app. we did not use Navan for several trips due to these concerns.
Navan for booking travel
Puntos a favor:
I used Navan for booking personal and business trips.
Puntos en contra:
Limited customization options for travel plans.
My Experience With Navan
Puntos a favor:
With this software, it is easy to manage expenses management and travel related management.
Puntos en contra:
No issues with Navan and it has been amazing.
Not worth the time or money
Comentarios: Poor. Not only have they created more problems than they solved, they are hard to work with, dishonest, and overly priced.
Puntos a favor:
That employees could book and have charges go onto the company card, cut back on employees having to use their own cards and get reimbursed.
Puntos en contra:
Cost of product. Higher than all of the others we reached this year in our attempt to find a better product.None of the books are actually discounted as they sold us on. Not only can our employees book the same rooms/flights cheaper going to Expedia, Priceline, or directly withe the hotel/airline, but we get charged for using Navan to book as well. One of their biggest selling points was we'd save money with the discounts they get. We don't.Customer service is definitely lacking. They have never been able to solve any problems, in fact they do a lot of back pedaling and changing receipts on the website to cover their tracks when something goes wrong. Have double charged us on multiple occasions, very difficult to get refunded without going to the credit card company. Have had receipts showing we used a credit, but then got charged for that 'credit' when booking on top of the full price of the tickets.
High-quality automation to track spending processes transparently.
Comentarios: TripActions helped record all expenditures efficiently, especially during external missions, and follow-up processes for expenses were simplified, and officials took appropriate action. In addition, self-monitoring was strengthened, and the spirit of responsibility among team members was strengthened to direct expenditures within acceptable limits.
Puntos a favor:
TripActions makes tracking team and company spending easy. TripActions provides a simple mechanism for scanning receipts over the phone, automation to extract data, add it to an expense schedule, and notify the line manager to take approval, send acceptance notifications, or request additional information. It's also great that TripActions enables us to set a spending cap, and we can also send a request to raise the cap in times of emergency, especially during overseas missions. It's also lovely that TripActions enables us to link a bank card to write down payments via the card automatically. The reports are beneficial, as they give a comprehensive view of all spending operations during a specific period, and officials can analyze the results to make appropriate decisions that ensure that spending operations remain within the specified budgets.
Puntos en contra:
The desktop and mobile apps are easy to use, scanning and auto-fill technology work well, and the membership prices are affordable.

Whitney Galindo - University Recruiter review of Trip Actions
Comentarios: main benefit is staying organized and having one centralized location for all my travels. thank you trip actions team!!
Puntos a favor:
I love Trip Actions! In my role I travel a lot for university recruiting (mostly in the US and Canada). What I love most about the tool is: -ease of use. it's super easy to keep organized with tripactions. all my traveling can become pretty confusing, so I appreciate having the specific itineraries. It's so great to have ALL of my trip info (flight, hotel, rental car etc) in the palm of my hand, in one centralized location. also the app UI is super user friendly -customer support: super friendly, helpful, and timely -trip action points: i love love love being able to collect points for my travel when i save SurveyMonkey money. i really love having the option to cash in for amazon gift card or personal travel -ability to book personal travel: i often book mine and my families personal travel via trip actions. unfortunately it's not always cheaper, but it is more convenient to have everything in one place
Puntos en contra:
Just today actually i experienced a functionality that i'd like to be updated. For context, i'm going on two separate university recruiting trips to san diego in the fall (one is september, one in october). both of these trips were merged into one itinerary, likely because it's the same location. however when i reached out to your customer support team, they said that once a trip is merged, you can't unmerge it. i wish you could because it's confusing to look at two separate trips in one itinerary.
Horrible for business travelers
Comentarios: It feels like nobody who works there actually flies frequently themselves. Thus, they never adequately address my needs. It is SO frustrating. This is literally the only company I've ever sought out to actively negatively review. They're masking a bad travel experience with a pretty user interface for booking.
Puntos a favor:
The interface is easy to use. However, pretty products do not create for a great user experience--depth of integration and customer service do that.
Puntos en contra:
For business travelers who have status on multiple airlines, this software is pretty miserable. TripActions serves as the barrier between me and my carrier of choice. It feels like nobody who works there actually flies frequently themselves. All I want to do is to be able to contact the airlines myself or have better integration so that 1) I can change things without a third party. In Southwest, I can't change in the app if my flight is late, or if I want to switch (at no cost due to my status) to an earlier flight. With Delta, due to loyalty, often if I call, they will waive change fees for me. However, with TripActions, the integration isn't there and a third party is negotiating on your behalf. It's ineffective and time consuming. Their change fees have to be approved by a manager--this makes it hard to switch flights last-minute and get home sooner. 2) My upgrades aren't invalidated. YUP! You read that right! Because the integration with TripActions and Delta is poor, I am not able to book my seat with status through TripActions. I always end up calling Delta directly to get upgraded. Most recently, though, on a long haul flight from LAX to NYC, Delta confirmed my upgrade, but when I went to check in, I found out TripActions invalidated it when they saw my new class of seat didn't match the initial one I booked. This results in me spending HOURS on the phone/chat feature between Delta and TripActions.

Hi Laura, Please forgive the delayed response. I'd like to learn more about your experience so that we can make this better for you. Would you DM me so we can start a conversation? Samantha
As a user, I hate this app and this company.
Comentarios: I hate it. I hate everything about it and would dump these guys in a heartbeat if they weren't tied to my employer.
Puntos a favor:
Nothing here that I don't already have on Trip It and/or the airline app.
Puntos en contra:
Limited options, poor orientation from the company, flat out refusal to discuss benefit losses suffered by the frequent fliers who can no longer access their accounts with the big airlines.
Ok trip management tool but needs improvement
Comentarios: TripActions definitely has a good potential but need to work on linking hotels.com reward program!!
Puntos a favor:
It is very intuitive and easy to use. Finding hotels and flights hasn't been that easy. Great feature: you can create an "itinerary" and have flight and hotel under the same folder. They have great customer service (I've only used the chat portion)! They are vert friendly and are quick to answer.
Puntos en contra:
A little disappointed that I cannot link my hotels.com rewards program. I have notified their customer service team, and apparently a lot of people have requested that they link hotels.com reward program so hopefully they are working on it. Also, some of their features are inaccurate. For example, I bought what I thought was a train ticket but it was in fact a bus ticket.. it didn't mention it in the booking process.. I only found that it was a bus ticket in the confirmation email I received AFTER entering my credit card information and paying for it. HOWEVER, I mentioned it to the customer service team and they looked into it, apologized and offered a refund if I was no longer interested in taking this trip!!
Fast and simple to use, with rewards to boot
Comentarios: Very satisfied with TripActions to date, slick modern UI and makes booking travel simple.
Puntos a favor:
Feature-wise this is on par with most other travel booking sites such as concur. The website is quite modern and loads quickly which is important. Most of the time when booking travel, you are waiting for the search query to finish running. TripActions UI make it more palatable to wait. I also really like the incentives program which offers up cash which can be redeemed for gift cards if you choose a more affordable option. It's a nice reward for good corporate citizens. The other great thing is that it shows all the different ways to book the property, i.e. through hotels.com or directly through the hotel.
Puntos en contra:
Sometimes certain hotel properties that I want do not show up in the primary search. I have to go back and explicitly search for these properties. While the search time is quite reasonable, it can always be faster! But I understand they need to query a variety of systems to get the right pricing.
Refreshing experience to booking travel
Comentarios: Makes booking business travel a fun experience!
Puntos a favor:
The ability to earn rewards from choosing lower cost options, which can be redeemed for Amazon GCs, travel, and more. Great way to game-ify booking travel along with saving the company money. The website and mobile app both have very modern interfaces and performance is reasonable when loading all the travel permutations. Setup is very easy for user preferences and loyalty IDs.
Puntos en contra:
I didn't like how they split choices between rewards points earning and non-rewards points earning hotel selections. They also split between those options which are eligible for cashback rewards and those that are not. It's all to provide more options but it ends up confusing more than anything. The other thing to note is that if you are booking a new trip, Tripactions charges a set fee. So make sure you combine hotel and flight bookings otherwise you will be hit with a separate fee per booking.

Take some worry out of travelling
Comentarios: I love it personally. Not sure if it is really required but it is something that I enjoy having access to at our company.
Puntos a favor:
Being able to have what my company deems within budget listed for me to select when travelling. Customer support is also fantastic. Makes travelling a lot easier and auditing information is in 1 place. No need to worry about expensing as it can be connected to corporate CC.
Puntos en contra:
Honestly I have nothing negative to say about TripActions. I have had nothing but good experiences with this software.
No option for Cancellations
Comentarios:
Needed to cancel hotel reservations, was told by tripactions that they spoke to a manager at said hotel and was not willing to accept the cancellation. I personally approached the hotel management and explained the situation, was told that noone from tripactions called and they would cancel reservation at no charge.
In my opinion, trip actions just was trying to take advantage .
Puntos a favor:
I do not like the software. Do not see the cost savings
Puntos en contra:
No option for cancellations when schedules change.

Hi Theron, I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with the TripActions platform, and I'd like to get more details from you on this situation if you'd like. You can send me a DM. Additionally, I have shared this review with your customer success manager to help avoid this issue again.
Great Tool to Quickly Book Travel
Puntos a favor:
I love being able to compare hotels in one spot quickly. You also can't beat the Amazon rewards. Its a great money saver for my company, and a great reward for fiscal responsibility. I also like having a quick itinerary I can access via the app with all my trip details
Puntos en contra:
One thing that is still extremely frustrating is changing a flight or hotel. I can do this task in a matter of seconds on an airlines website, yet I still have to engage with a human via chat on TripActions to change details of trip. Recently, I needed to change a couple of flights and it took 14 minutes for me to get it all sorted. There needs to be a quick and easy way to change travel plans yourself, particularly flights, without having to chat with anyone.

LOVE TripActions
Comentarios: Overall, I would definitely recommend TripActions to others. The platform is easy to understand and navigate. There are great features to compare flights and change flights if you need to. TripActions Customer SUpport is awesome. I once had to change flights last minute and they helped me navigate the whole process and even called the airline for me. 10/10 experience.
Puntos a favor:
TripActions is incredibly easy to use. I love the ability to compare different flights across the platform. Additionally, TripActions Customer Support team is top-notch. Quick Responses and Invaluable Support!
Puntos en contra:
I've found that TripActions does not always present the cheapest flights. I've actually found flights at the same time to the same locations for 100s of dollars less in some instances.
TripActions makes booking travel a breeze
Comentarios: The customer support has been great and the agents on chat get things done quickly.
Puntos a favor:
TripActions is so much better than any travel booking software I've used before. When using other software I've often been frustrated that hotel rates were more expensive than I could find elsewhere, but TripActions often has better rates than I've found myself. Couple that with the reward system that rewards employees for saving the company money and it's a real win/win situation.
Puntos en contra:
Very little. It would be great if they had the option for billing in non-US currencies and I've had one issue where the flight I wanted wasn't available through the site, but other than that, it's been great.
Easy to use, beautiful design, great customer support
Puntos a favor:
- visibility into travel options - ease of travel planning and booking - great incentives for economy travel options - Beautiful, intuitive design and feature set - great customer support
Puntos en contra:
Honestly nothing. Trip actions is currently my number one favorite piece of software.
Consumer grade travel booking for the corporate context
Comentarios: Consumer-grade user experience that's very employee-friendly.
Puntos a favor:
Basically as easy to use as Google Flights or Kayak when it comes to booking corporate flights. Friendly, intuitive user experience that shows you options in a way that anybody who uses the aforementioned sites could easily use. Showing in policy v. not in policy is super useful and saves a lot of time for regular users. Same with seeing how many seats left in a flight.
Puntos en contra:
Honestly not much to not like, at least from the perspective of an end user. Perhaps one of the people in HR who manages configuring the expenses/travel policies will have a different take.
