Sobre QuickBooks Payroll
Gestiona las finanzas de las pequeñas empresas. Acceso instantáneo a la información de clientes, proveedores y empleados. Disponible en una versión en línea.
It's very simple to use and integrates great with Quickbooks online as you would expect.
I think all my conversations were with people out of the country. Really hard to understand and communication was a challenge.

QB para gestión de nóminas
Comentarios: Excelente! no he tenido inconvenientes trabajé muy bien con este software para gestionar las nóminas.
Puntos a favor:

Works great! Syncs with QB.
Comentarios: Overall it's a strong product with all the features most people will need for their business. I used it for 2 restaurants and was very pleased with it. It's great to have all your finances in a single place.
Puntos a favor:
I liked that it allowed me to keep my business finances in one place. It was easy to use and less expensive than a payroll company like ADP or paychex.
Puntos en contra:
The accounts in my chart of accounts it setup would sometimes be confusing.

Wouldn’t recommend
Puntos a favor:
The idea of quickbooks and the integration with other software was great. Unfortunately I was unable to use the product and understand it’s benefits.
Puntos en contra:
What seems like an easy to use program to do payroll and manage employee info and compensation it wasn’t. It seemed like a baseless template-no guidance and help was rare from support. Support took days to respond and it was never helpful.

Amazing and Efficient
Comentarios: Compared to doing this process manually, QuickBooks payroll is amazing and easy to use. It requires very little staff time as well.
Puntos a favor:
I like that you can essentially automate everything from payroll runs to filings and payments. Once the client and employees are setup within Payroll, the only work I have to do is review everything every month and save copies of returns to provide to my clients.
Puntos en contra:
The setup process can be a little confusing/ time consuming at first. However, once you go through 1-2 iterations, it is a pretty straightforward process.

Quickbooks Assisted Payroll - Great for small businesses
Comentarios: Overall, it's been great for our company. As mentioned above, their customer service needs some help. Other than that, their payroll service has helped a tremendously, in keeping track of everything needed to comply to State and Federal filing and tax deadlines. I would recommended it as a tool to help ease the work for your payroll person in the office.
Puntos a favor:
I like the ease of the payroll service. We have a small number of employees, yet prior to QuickBooks, sometimes quarterly payroll taxes were mis-calculated. With QuickBooks Assisted Payroll, we do not ever have to worry about sending in payments, as they are done for us automatically. W-2 are no longer a headache either, they are don't quickly and generated seamlessly.
Puntos en contra:
When we do have issues, customer service is not to par. They stopped service many of their payroll services and when you do, you do get switched around a lot and many seem to not know the basics of payroll. - I wouldn't recommend their services if you need step by step help on processing your company payroll.

It saves me alot of time
Comentarios: What our company has experienced in the past was expense tracking and data migration but since we moved to this software ut has been a good year, wish we had it soon.it is truly life changing
Puntos a favor:
Expense tracker on this wonderful because my company once had a bad report of expediture for a while but since usince this there's never been any problems.Invoicing is quick an easy saves alot of time because we have a lot of clients so is saves us both time and money.
Puntos en contra:
In the past 8 months I have used this software my work performance has improved, all the features are up to standard from my experience I wouldn't change or improve a single thing,it has made me thrive.

Easy integration
Comentarios: Overall, the integration is seamless and eases how we do our accounting work.
Puntos a favor:
The software integrates easily with other software to easy work. We integrate QuickBooks Payroll with two software Homebase and WagePoint. The integration is smooth.
Puntos en contra:
We spent a lot of time teaching the Accounting department how to use this software. It is not an easy one to learn.

Quickbooks Payroll makes Payroll easy
Puntos a favor:
It is so user friendly , so easy to plug in your employees and pay them on time.
Puntos en contra:
There are no cons, this product does everything from taxes to payroll to benefits.

QuickBooks payroll
Comentarios: Overall this is a positive experience. Clients really like this service that we offer them. It helps us keep an eye on our clients and lets them track and help keep their overhead costs in line for their company. The ease of use for them is outstanding and makes paying their employees simple and easy.
Puntos a favor:
We like this product due to its easy use for our clients that we sell it to for their use.Easy to manage reports and functionality.
Puntos en contra:
sometimes the reporting doesn't seem to populate properly and you have redo the report parameters. Can be a little glitchy at times (but technology can do that)
Sarah
Easy to use
Comentarios: Quickbooks Payroll is a great product. It is very easy to use. I can simply follow the steps/instructions and complete my payroll.
Puntos a favor:
My favorite part is the automatic tax payments. I do not have to think about my tax payments at all.
Puntos en contra:
I can not think of anything that I really dislike about quickbooks payroll. If anything, it would simply be the price.

They are so large now they make it difficult to speak with someone.
Comentarios: In the beginning the customer service was great, but over the years it has deteriorated. I still have on going issues where the mistaken filed my taxes under the wrong id number (the number was transposed) creating a issue with our Dept of labor unknow to me until years later. After, numerous calls, speaking to someone the issue is still a problem. Hey, mistakes happen lets just get it fixed. Now my employees have not received their pay, and now no one is available to let you know the issue.
Puntos a favor:
When everything is good, things are great. But, when you have problem, (and you will sometime) they make it so difficult to get answers and issues resolved. When you a problem it will be a big issue and no one is around to help. You try chat, most of the time that doesn't resolve the issue, or question you may have. Have them call you back, that may or may not happen, but it won't happen in the time they indicate. Its been a great run with Quickbooks Pro (paid more for better Full service) but it looks as if that is coming to an end. The icing on the cake for me was, not getting my employees paid on the date they were supposed to be, though receiving correspondence they would be paid. Trying to get answers to what the issue is, and you can't get a hold of anyone. That creates a game changer.
Puntos en contra:
Software is great, but if you don't have customer service to support the software, the software become worthless. Because you will have issues and will need help.

Payroll Service for Small Offices
Comentarios: I have not had any problems with quickbooks payroll at all. I would recommend this service to other businesses. I also found them to be cheaper that the other payroll companies out in the market.
Puntos a favor:
This software is very easy to use. Has all of the options we need for tracking deductions, types of pay, vacation accruals, 401K, flexplan deductions, etc. Online check stubs for the employees. They can just log on and get a copy of their paycheck. They automatically receive an email when the check is ready to review. Easy data entry. Quickbooks takes care of all of the Federal and state filing forms and payments. If you use Quickbooks for your business you can set it up to automatically transfer the payroll to your general ledger. Saves time and prevents errors.
Puntos en contra:
If you don't start out using this software with your quickbooks when you first implement - you are not able to keep your payroll history. If you need to convert from one software to another - I would recommend doing it at the time of your physical year.

Simple solution to running payroll via mobile device
Comentarios: My overall experience with both the software and support have been nothing but the best. I think the best feature of Quickbooks Payroll is the service you receive when talking with a solutions agent.
Puntos a favor:
I enjoy the use of the mobile app to easily review payroll and pay my employees in a timely manner. I also enjoy the functionality of time sheets compatibility to payroll.
Puntos en contra:
There is nothing. The call back with support is amazing and is withing a reasonable time period to reach back out when I needed the service.

Best in house payroll software EVER!
Comentarios: Love Love Love it! I recommend all small businesses use this program. It will also file you taxes for you.
Puntos a favor:
I love the reminders QB payroll gives me. I get busy and I have different employees on different pay schedules and QB reminds me to pay on time. The amount of lines I can use for commission, Mileage, Bonuses etc... it what makes this such a great program
Puntos en contra:
It does not track commission to a specific job via the payroll check. Other than that it's awesome.
Bruce
Do NOT get this service
Comentarios:
For the major problems described above, I would not recommend this product to any small business. There are many very good payroll services that are more user friendly, customer orientated and WILLING TO HELP.
These guys are the fat cat who could care less about you, your needs, your business. They act like they are doing you a favor for the chance of doing business with them. Good example - we had a problem on the last day of filing and? They closed their customer service. No help. Period. If you have to file late and get fined, too bad. They also screwed up the direct deposits. This is a unreliable service.
Puntos a favor:
Basic payroll features all present to list employees info, etc. No problem there. Best feature is that it was embedded into our online Quick Books.
Puntos en contra:
the WORST feature of this service which makes it a FAILURE for small business is the inflexibility and rigidity of deadlines. For example the last month of a QTR ends and next day you want to enter data, or even make a small change, for the previous week, or month or quarter - TOO BAD - you can not. Period. No compromise. No hope. Be clear this is ARBITRARY. But they could care less. The Federal filing deadline is 30 days after the end of Qtr. If there is a fixed deadline afterwhich you can not makes changes it should be that. But for some ego power trip reason (meaning no REAL reason) they make it the next day. If you don't keep up to that arbitrary schedule then FU. There is no customer service to help. You have to submit changes in writing and wait 2 weeks. Yes you are paying PREMIUM rate for this service but they don't care. Its like they are deliberately trying to screw you. Same with end of year. Most small business use month of Jan to get their books together. Sorry. By Jan 1 you must have all your payroll done. There is no possibility to enter any data after Dec 31....again....even tho the REAL deadline (Feds) in Jan 31. The small convenience of seeing this inside your online Quick Books is not worth the problems.

Service and support have taken a huge turn for the worse
Puntos a favor:
Initially, before they took data away from the end user, I liked everything.
Puntos en contra:
The customer service has become deplorable as of this writing. Never used to be that way. I have been without my payroll data since 1/16, and after 16 separate phone calls, each running through the same steps over and over, the same results. Nothing. Keep being informed that the "engineering team" is on it, but still no resolutions. They promise to call you back later that day, no call. So, I call back the next morning, and have to go through the entire scenario yet again. At this point in time, I'm researching other payroll companies. Intuit keeps sending me emails reminding me about payroll being due, tax forms being due... and I can't access any of the information to file it. Today, 4/19/16, I was told that there was a big software problem, that I wasn't the only one experiencing it... but, it literally took them 16 separate phone calls from me, no return phone calls from them AT ALL, and me finally getting angry and raising cain before they divulged that information. Not at all happy with Intuit right now. Several years ago, they surveyed users as to how to best run payroll. I was very VERY happy with having the data remain with me, backed up with them, and me filing electronically with the information in my computer. They decided to have everything "secured" in their hands. I stated my concern that the potential arrises to having our information trapped if they have any software or hardware issues... "Oh, no sir!! That would never happen!!" .... and now, I have zero access to my accounts and information. And the only response I got today after raising hell, is, "You have to wait and be patient, sir." ... I would have to say be cautious when deciding to use Intuit right now.

QuickBooks Payroll a good choice for all but the smallest of small businesses
Comentarios: A reliable and accurate service providing pretty much everything the small business needs to generate a payroll and to remit taxes and tax filings in a timely basis. Good customer service. When new state taxes were introduced, it was sometimes difficult to get the calculation of taxes due correct and, in my case, QuickBooks was never able to successfully remit the Washington Family & Medical Leave tax.
Puntos a favor:
A comprehensive online payroll service likely to meet the needs of most small businesses with good integration to other products and services sold by QuickBooks. Easy setup, good customer service. I liked being able to schedule so that payroll taxes were deducted from my corporate account close to the date the remittance was due to the taxing authority. Some payroll services deduct taxes from the bank account just after payroll is run, then hold it (presumably making interest on those funds) until the taxes are actually due. QuickBooks doesn't appear to do that.
Puntos en contra:
A few too many steps are required to run a payroll with a few informational messages being displayed that I usually disregard (of the "are you sure you want to do that?" kind). Also, QuickBooks was never able to successfully report and remit certain of Washington's state taxes. QuickBooks' calculation of these taxes never quite matched the calculation made by the state taxing authority and correcting QuickBooks' record of what I actually paid was a bit complicated. Also, the price for this service is not competitive, compared to other services, for very small businesses.

Works for our relatively straight forward needs
Comentarios: It's been good, and I would recommend it to other companies that have a similar use case to us (not a crazy amount of employees, and no complicated setup for payments)
Puntos a favor:
I've had many people tell me that QuickBooks Payroll isn't a "true" or "real" payroll system, but I have yet to experience any major problems. Our use case is fairly simple / straight forward, and we have 10's of employees, not 100's. In this context it works very well, handles all the tax reporting almost automatically (there is a bit of manual work, but it's trivial) and basically allows us to manage this fairly simply as a small company with not tons of resources. It handles the direct deposit for our employees nicely as well.
Puntos en contra:
This is more of an issue with any Quickbooks product, not just Payroll. The UI is not always super clear, and sometimes you have to go to weird places (from a navigation perspective) to find a particular function. Getting our annual forms for employees and the government is always a pain, because it's been a year since it was done last and it takes some time to find where you can do it in the software. The support is also hit and miss. Sometimes the agent you get is very helpful and solves the problem relatively quickly, and sometimes the agent you get can't even really understand the problem no matter how often you explain it. Finally my last gripe is that I have to manage the dates to process payroll manually. i.e. Quickbooks knows when payroll has to be run, but doesn't send me any type of notification, so I have to manually track this. It occasionally results in running it too close to a holiday, resulting in staff getting paid a day late, I'd really appreciate it if I got a notice from Quickbooks on the last day to process on time, since it's only one of the many things I have to keep track of.

effortless book keeping
Comentarios:
experience with payroll is really cool, the software actually calculate the holdings and make life easy for me, definitely a robo accountant that i don't have to pay a salary to.
Over all experience : just love it and wish i had it from the beginning of my business. For new users, make use of support. Don't hesitate to call , ask questions , ask again if you have to they will walk you through it. Like i say be dumb and learn it . take the time to do so because the end result is amazing . knowing your finances is straight can save your life. aka....sleep well .
Puntos a favor:
it keep track of your income and expenses by simply attaching your bank account. almost does your tax return. lol save a lot of time doing your data entry thus cost effective, no need for a special person to enter all your receipts etc keep correct info on all money related transaction and balance your check book , can keep your spending and saving on check. I can make adjustments by just looking at my balance sheet. almost cool for idiots to use. :) perfect
Puntos en contra:
if i made a mistake and had to go hunting for the problem, but i can just call up support and let them know ( how stupid i was ) and they just fix it. so not really a con. for invoicing however , can take a little polishing up especially if i am doing an estimate and need to send it out, i must be extra cautious.

Full service is great choice for small S-Corps
Comentarios: I am a cash flow designer for small businesses. I put structures in place to get them moving their money around their small business for useful reporting and cash flow predictability. Often they are transitioning to S-Corp status and needing to level up their approach to Payroll. I like Quickbooks full service payroll for this.
Puntos a favor:
Weekly Payroll at no extra cost, which is great for my clients who are primarily small S-Corps not used to running payroll; I have to get that money into their account so they don't mix up their funds and spend out of their business accounts on their personal life. I also like how when there are issues, they walk me through how to fix them in the interface really well. As a non-expert on payroll, using it for only a few clients, this has been really excellent.
Puntos en contra:
I wish it was easier to change bank accounts for the draw. Over time I move clients from single checking accounts to split accounts with operations expenses separated in certain ways; at some interval I tend to want to move the payroll draw to a new bank account. This is hard, in part because the settings inside payroll are housed in a weird interface that locks up in weird ways if you login from various accounts at the same time. Feels like old old old software suddenly, not modern Intuit stuff.

Pretty good value but tax and reporting features can be lacking
Comentarios: QuickBook’s Online seemed like a great choice but after 1 year of use, we went back to the fully integrated desktop software. No real issues and certainly no issues with tax payment accruals and the reporting is very detailed. Highly recommend desktop software over online.
Puntos a favor:
QB’s is user friendly and meets all basic payroll needs without issue. Easy vacation tracking and basic reporting services. Takes about 5 minutes to run payroll for a smaller company.
Puntos en contra:
A couple of hiccups in the tax payment department using the online version and the reporting was lacking. Customer service was mediocre and took quite a long while to work with for seemingly simple errors that were only correctly handled approximately 50% of the time.

Slow Change Yields Quick Results
Comentarios: Quickbooks Payroll's payroll management has been a necessary and vital part of our ability to operate. We grew quickly as an organization and increased our staff by over 400% in less than two years. We had an accounting and payroll system that was designed for paying three employees. It had already become problematic when we increased to 8 full time employees. When we increased to 25 employees, the inadequacy of our system became glaringly apparent. Mistakes in payroll, reporting, and compliance began to put our organization in jeopardy. We initially utilized an accounting firm, but the costs of their services was a budget item that we could not continue to maintain without reducing staff or increasing fees. Quickbooks Payroll solves this problem, allowing us to maintain our entire staff, keep our fees the same, and stay in compliance with the IRS, all for a fee that annually is less than we had been paying monthly.
Puntos a favor:
Quickbooks Payroll eliminates our need for an accountant to oversee our payroll operations, and gives us the ability to accurately pay our employees, maintain tax compliance, print W2s and weekly payroll checks, and maintain necessary financial records. The cost of using this software pales in comparison to the fees we were quoted from multiple accounting firms. Most important for our organization, it yields professional results while requiring minimal accounting knowledge on the part of the user. The combination of saving money and maintaining compliance has made the transition to Quickbooks Payroll one of our most successful business moves.
Puntos en contra:
Our only complaint is that we waited so long to realize how much we needed this software. I have spoken with several colleagues who work at similar facilities, and none of them utilize this software. Moreover, they don't realize how much they could benefit from switching to it. I wish Quicken would make a targeted effort to demonstrate the benefits of this software to our industry.

A Good Payroll Option for Simple Payroll
Comentarios: Overall this is a great option for sole proprietors or very small companies that have a simple payroll requirement. There is not really any support for payroll which has employees performing work in multiple states. If your payroll is not very complicated, I would recommend giving Quickbooks Payroll a shot, however the more complex your payroll is, the more I would recommend looking elsewhere for a payroll option. It can be very convenient to use your accounting software to run payroll since there is no need for payroll entry since it is already in the system.
Puntos a favor:
- Pretty good for simple payroll (hourly/salary employees in one state) - Simple to use - Easy to teach and implement with new clients
Puntos en contra:
- Cumbersome implementation of complex payroll - Difficult to edit payroll and employee details aside from very basic aspects - "Not fantastic" customer support
