It has a simple interface that's easy for anyone to understand and doesn't need a lot of training. The cost was actually fairly reasonable compared to many other virtual event platforms out there.
Our workshop moderators were really nervous about the chat and Q&A feature during sessions.

A great, easy to set-up and manage events platform"
Comentarios: We used Webex Events to improve participant engagement and reduce staff time for a non-profit's annual 24-hour ski marathon. The app enabled us to put a lot of different participant materials in a single, continually updated location (agenda, rules, announcements, hour-by-hour results, etc.) enabling our staff to spend much less time printing and distributing materials and much more time engaging with participants. The athletes loved the app because they could see their results in real time and track how they and their teammates were doing in real time.

We evaluated several different event platforms, and Socios seemed like the easiest to set-up and manage. We first tried to use another platform and that proved too difficult so we pivoted back to Socio (which was more expensive, but worth it in the end.) As a board member of a small, community-based non-profit that produces an annual 24-hour skiing event, we wanted an application to improve participant engagement and reduce work for staff. The results we got in our first year with the Socio / Webex events app were phenomenal.Over half of our 600 athletes used the app over the two days of our 24-hour ski marathon, totaling over 23,000 minutes of usage! The built-in features of the app around Agenda, Announcements, and Participant networking were easy to set up and delivered a lot of value in reducing work on our staff.Even more impressive was how easy it was for us to seamlessly integrate with additional content to deliver a highly-tailored experience to our attendees -- the Web link feature is extremely valuable (especially the ability to pass External ID to a URL), and our athletes were able to continually see their progress in a custom "achievements" web page we built (~2300 clicks from ~280 users), as well as pull up the individual and team rankings in real-time from our race-timing vendor (another 6600 clicks cross 280 users). Additionally, our ability to embed documents and text content made the Event App a one-stop place for rules, instructions and other key details

There are some small downsides, especially for folks on a tight budget. These include extra costs for API access, branded apps (in IOS / Android store), etc. Also, once you set up an external ID for a participant it's difficult to change

Webex Events (formerly Socio) was well received by our attendees, staff, exhibitors, and sponsors. We hosted our Symposium in September, and the event was hybrid. The Webex Events (formerly Socio) app was instrumental in keeping everyone organized. we liked that our sponsors and exhibitors could reach the virtual crowd just as easily as the in-person crowd. Building the app to our specifications was so simple and the help desk was quick to respond with any questions we had. The entire team at Webex Events (formerly Socio) was great to work with! Implementing the app was effortless. Our team was able to customize the app to our color scheme and highlight features of our event. The scheduling function made it straightforward for our attendees to join their session, see the upcoming speakers and overall plan their day based on who they wanted to see speak. The app was used by all involved for two consecutive days. Integrating the Webex Events (formerly Socio) app into our event to keep everyone organized was effortless. We really liked the ticket purchasing feature, this made selling tickets for both in-person and virtual attendees painless. The reporting tool was helpful at the end, we were able to see who and how many people attended each event. The reporting tool and metrics that are available in the end make planning your next event so easy. We also streamed 4 consecutive speakers every and the app records each of those sessions automatically.

The least helpful aspect of the Webex Events (formerly Socio) app was the training tool on streaming the sessions. The tool is only set up to train you to stream one session at a time. We spent two days training only to find out the day of our event that streaming 4 consecutive sessions was nothing like streaming just one session. It made the morning of day one of our event stressful. We suggest modifying the training for those that make more than one consecutive session so that you can train on streaming at least 2 sessions at a time.

Use a better provider than WebEx
Comentarios: We signed up at the start of the pandemic, when all videoconferencing providers were looking for ways to handle the effects of the pandemic, but my company is currently switching away from WebEx, we all complain about it regularly. The main reason we chose WebEx was the fact that attendees were not required to download software, but based on how the usability is, that's not a big deal for us anymore, plus a lot of people now have Zoom or Teams downloaded. It took a lot of use getting use to WebEx, it wasn't very intuitive. The support has been lackluster when we've encountered issues.

The All-in-One Event Management Software
Comentarios: Webex has revolutionised our business. Streamlined many processes that were long and unnecessary, saving us time and man power.

From start to finish event management on Webex is simple and easy to use. From creating the event and the registration platform all the way to attendee management and the mobile application it is the all-in-one software that literally anyone could use. The customisability on registration and the event app has allowed for us to collect data at events like never before. The support desk are superb and respond to any questions in under 15 minutes allowing you to continue on with what you were working on in no time. We constantly receive compliments on our mobile application when compared to larger competitors mobile apps.

The only things missing are some CRM API integrations and event websites. Other than that it is great.

Socio's Platform is the Ultimate Engagement Tool
Comentarios: From start to finish, we were well taken care of--from contract phase to event day. Again, we had the Orange Glove service so we had several trainings (staff, speakers, sponsors) and brainstorm sessions to help teach us about ways to maximize features and build an engaging virtual conference agenda. Lots of great trainings and idea shares!

This platform is so versatile for streaming options--you can use a variety of streaming options or use the one they offer. It also keeps your audience's attention with incredibly engaging features and a great variety of them--from gamification, a social wall, integration with the virtual lounge of your choice (same for a virtual photobooth) to the chat, polling and q&a offerings, attendees are enthralled and truly participate. Additionally, having the mobile app complementing the web app means if an attendee needs to step away from their desk during a virtual event, they never miss a minute of content.

While the initial buildout felt daunting (we bought the Orange Glove service so did not have to do this ourselves)--once the hand off from the Socio team to our team was done and we were trained, it was fairly easy and intuitive. Now that we've done it once, we'd likely be able to do our own event builds in the future if we have the time/bandwidth--but truly, it's a fantastic option to be able to have the Socio team perform the buildouts.

Comentarios: The only thing I wish if that maybe I could purchase them for a few months - a year instead of having to purchase credits per event.

Socio was so easy to use right from the very start AND if, for some reason, you did have a struggle in some area, their customer service team has an unbeatable response time via chat. Lastly, in terms of learning, there are a lot of written articles, usually with videos or screenshots included, to teach you about all of their features and how some have chosen to utilize them. Your assigned Customer Success Manager will have 1-1 calls with you to walk through YOUR event and answer any pertinent questions, and on event day, everything went as smoothly as possible. Thank you Socio!

I wish I could chat with my guests from the Streaming Studio, having to lose a team member from the studio to have them sign in as a guest so they could chat was not my favorite.

Comentarios: Easy, simple, more features than we actually use but I like that their are so many possibilities.

n/a Anything I haven't liked or thought could be better I have made known to the support team and they have added it to their hopper for discussion. Some things have actually been updated and rolled out.

Multi year and event user - 10 events total
Comentarios: Overall the experience has been great! We have a dedicated account rep that has been great and always available to answer any questions we have no matter how small.

I really appreciate the ability to connect and then later download all connections to email directly via an excel file.

The sponsor page features and the gamification feature were all fantastic and much appreciated for our event. Our sponsors were wary about visibility during an online conference, but those fears subsided once they hopped on the platform and saw what we could build out for them.

Not much; there was a bit of a learning curve and some of the click paths could be shorter (your navigation menu changes based on how deep you are into your event platform, which was a little confusing.

Excellent Communication Tool
Comentarios: We have been incredibly pleased. The product is solid and performs incredibly well. But the product is only as good as the support and the support team beats anything I've experienced. They are timely, witty, knowledgable, and engaging. It is never transactional. They even follow up on things I've commented about doing. They are quick to offer solutions for creative solutions to ideas we have to leverage the app. All around impeccable online/virtually instant service.

We use the Socio product for our church members. It is an incredibly simple, convenient, and secure way to share information and keep everyone updated on events/activities. It is a very easy to use app for the user. The administrative process is also incredibly intuitive. It has worked flawlessly for our needs. And the instantly available support team is better than any on-line support I have ever received. This is a hallmark of distinction and sets them head and shoulders above other SaaS products I have used.

The only drawback we've had is the need to refresh the app. Users who are not as tech savvy may not recognize the need to update (a circle arrow icon in the top right of the app) the content from time to time. It is a very minor issue we've been able to educate around. On a scale of minor to major scale, this is an incredibly minor issue for us.

Socio Events. Both their Product and their people are the best we have used.
Comentarios: WIthout socio, I am not sure we could have put on a successful virtual event the past two years. Their tool and level of customer service literary kept our business alive. We heard from multiple attendees that are simply sick and tired of coming to virtual events, however, that socio was the best platform they had used and set us apart from other virtual events they had joined. In a post-event survey, 2/3 of our attendees rated the socio platform 4 or 5 stars (out of 5). There are always plusses and minuses to various platforms and nothing is ever going to be a perfect fit for everyone. Socio does so much very well but there are a few places, like the current way that presenters are cut off from attendees in the normal system that if that is what is most important to you, there may be better options. However, if you are talking about out-of-the-box solutions for an event of any size, their customer service puts them far above anyone else.

Our Main Event each year is a convention. Usually, it is in person with about 4000 people. Last two years we have been virtual. Socio was the event app for our last in-person event and the two virtual events we have held. It connects with our website and our registration system to automatically bring in content and attendee information. In this last year, we also used their platform for the streaming solution. The product itself is flexible but fairly easy to use. We have a fairly complex event (120+ sessions over three days with hundreds of speakers and dozens of sponsors) and not only did it handle it - but it looked good. Customer service and attention is the best that I have seen. We have used 4-5 different event app systems over the past decade and no one came close to socio in terms of both meeting our needs and responding to questions and issues

For an organization like out with so many sessions, speakers, and sponsors, but only a few staff members, it would be nice if there was a level of access to the back end content that we could give to the speakers and sponsors for example so they could upload their own information or make needed changes. Also within the socio studio - currently there is not an easy way for presenters to interact with chat or to handle Q&A. But based on my experience with them, I would not be surprised if this wasn't addressed in an upcoming update.
WebEx Events (Socio) provides the best solution in the market today!
Comentarios: I was searching for a virtual solution with live streaming and recorded session playback with full convention capabilities (keynote and breakout sessions, gamification to engage attendees, full virtual exhibits, surveys, chat, etc.) during the pandemic and that began our relationship with Socio, now WebEx Events. We hosted a very successful virtual convention in 2021. Then in 2022 we went back live in-person and took this platform and used it for that. We have been beyond satisfied with the support, customer service and overall platform, and used the new on-site badge in a box solution for the first time which took our event to the next level with no registration waiting. I am now a loyal customer and we will be using WebEx Events again in 2023 for our convention.

After spending a lot of time assessing a solution that was right for our non-profit organization for both a virtual convention and an in-person convention, WebEx Events does it all! The app platform is easy to use, it is engaging to whatever level you choose. It truly checks every box and they continue to invest and improve it. The on-site badging streamlined our registration so much that there was no wait time to register. The other most important standout for me is the five star customer service! That sets them even further apart from others. Having the best, knowledgeable customer service is always a win for me.

The lack of integration of registration at the front end to seamlessly integrate with the rest of the solution has been a drawback when paying for that portion. But it is an option you need to assess if important to you, but on the flip side they provide a solution no matter what your need. WebEx Events has you covered and the price is very affordable. So the con is really a preference. I do not see many downsides to using WebEx Events.

You're in good hands with the Socio Team
Comentarios: While we initially planned to use Socio solely for our major annual patient/medical professional gathering, we were so pleased with their quality of customer support and our audience's reaction to our first-ever smartphone/web app, that it was an easy decision to continue our relationship with the Socio team to implement year-long engagement opportunities for our rare disease community. Socio Registration/Community is a GREAT way to advertise, educate, and communicate with your target audience.

Socio allowed my organization (Alport Syndrome Foundation, non-profit, rare disease) the ability to successfully pivot from a canceled in-person event (due to COVID) to an immersive and inclusive virtual event. We more than tripled our expected attendance and our event sponors were very pleased, as was our patient community, with the final product. My staff was thrilled, as there's only two of us, to be in good hands so we could focus on the meeting content while they handled all other logistics. Their customer service and tech support is incredible! They always got back to me and my colleagues so quickly and customized the experience exactly as we wanted it.

The worst feature is the fact that seemingly everything can be customized. There's almost too many great ways to edit things to your liking, so we had to draw a line and stick to simple color schemes in the interest of timing. When they say they care about your company and its branding, they aren't kidding!
Fantastic Service Makes The Product Worth Every Dollar
Comentarios: Overall our experience with Socio was fantastic. We really appreciated their customer and technical support's availability to chat, their friendliness and their willingness to help guide us through the development of our event by using the product.

Best Suited for all occasion
Comentarios: I have been organizing and attending meetings using Webex. It was much better than the other existing apps and majorly the disconnectivity during presentation issue is resolved.This app gives you comfortable feeling when you are presenting a meeting & you can smoothly complete it.

Its a good app with the clear audio and picture presentation. It has highly recommended features like polling, notifying the host and background change.It also works very well with poor network connection so you don't have to worry if you are attending meetings during traveling or in remote area.This UI is best suited for large scale presentation and it also providing robust and healthy service for users.It is simple to understand and can be used by students eaily.

It took little much time to switch the camera and it get stuck sometime even if we have a good WI-FI connection while switching.The screen ratio need to be improved and sometimes if it get stuck by either bug or due to network issue , you have to completely close the app and reopen again.
One of, if not the best, option on the market
Comentarios: Socio was an excellent way to create a virtual event feel like a live event. They put a high priority on networking tools, including all the fun! Our attendees loved the contest and social media aspects. We have had zero issues during our live events, and it has been easy for our attendees to learn how to use the platform and dive right into the content.

Socio is the perfect hybrid of do-it-yourself, but get as much support as you would like, option out there. It is very easy to build events and they give you all the support you need to be successful. The final result is a highly professional, easy to use, virtual event platform. We received nothing but compliments from our attendees and have done 2 events now with this platform.

The market demand during this time is driving prices up across all companies who do virtual event platforms. Socio is one of the more reasonably priced when you compare to others for sure, especially if you go with the do-it-yourself approach, but even with that, soon non-profits my size may be priced out if the trend continues.

Outstanding platform and helpful customer service
Puntos a favor:
Socio made it easy to design and deliver our virtual conference for 550 attendees. Our in-house team was able to quickly learn to be system administrators through customer support representatives. Through the post-conference survey, the attendees overwhelmingly loved the functionality and ease-of-use of the platform. The sponsors and exhibitors were overall pleased with the ability to interact with attendees.

There were minor platform features that didn't work as smoothly as we expected. All these features were newly developed, such as video rooms, but the technical issues did not negatively impact the overall user experience.

We can add up to 1000 participants in Webex software, and most importantly we can even send the reminders through Webex even when the event starts.email invitee can be sent directly.

Once the meetings is started we cannot create pre-assigned breakout rooms because we have to then end the meeting and upload the csv file to create the breakout rooms.
Awesome app for an audience with high expectations
Comentarios: Our experience with Socio was amazing. It streamlined the event process and experience for us as well as for our attendees. Our audience is comprised of busy executives and tech professionals who are not always easy to please, but the integrations, ease-of-use, and engagement features were a perfect storm that could not have been a better fit.

Our entire event process was simplified by using Socio. They were able to integrate with our registration system and it worked flawlessly, transferring our attendees from registration to the app while keeping them segmented as we needed. The feature set within the app covered all of our needs. We especially liked the digital guide in combination with the preset agendas - they allowed us to set each attendee's itinerary before they even downloaded the app, while still allowing them to view the entire agenda if they chose to do so. The gamification feature was also a huge hit that pleased our top sponsors and our attendees. What more can you ask for? The ratings, reviews, and surveys in the app provided us with the most comprehensive feedback we have ever received from our event, and on top of that, the feedback was the best yet!

The process of setting up the Apple Developer account is a bit cumbersome but is seemingly unavoidable in order to have a white label app. Socio has helpful documentation and support for this process but it was still tedious.
Great solution for our event's needs
Comentarios: If you’re going to invest in an event app, Socio should be that investment! Be sure to take advantage of the onboarding meeting that they set up when you first come on as a customer. It was a huge help that set us up for success using the product.

I loved the customizable aspect of the app. There were so many different things I could do to personalize our app so it would look “on brand” for our event! Socio did a great job creating a workspace that was easy to understand and navigate. Our attendees had a blast using the “Shake to Connect” feature when at the event! The app made it very easy for our attendees connect with each other. Our attendees have expressed how easy it was to download their list of connections after the event was over so they could continue chatting with those they met at the event. The app made it easy for us to notify attendees when something in the schedule changed by sending out a push notification! The customer support we got from the Socio team was also amazing. They were very helpful and had great suggestions regarding how to get the most out of the app!

Great platform for hybrid event management
Comentarios: Webex/Socio offers us an all-in-one tool that allows us to market our event seamlessly to our network. It saves us a ton of time.

I love the dedicated support we receive - I ran into 1-2 issues while organizing our event and was able to find solutions quickly thanks to their dedicated support staff and our representative [sensitive content hidden]. I also love the level of customization we have within our event app - from visuals, branding and widgets. Such a great tool.

The only real downside was the feature that requires users to refresh the event in order to receive current features, changes we make on our end. I wish those changes happened automatically. I also hope they update their add user option as it can be a bit finicky at times - not allowing users already added to be updated.
