Sobre Shopify POS
Con un diseño para comercios minoristas, Shopify POS reúne tus ventas, inventario, clientes, etc., de tiendas del tipo tradicional y del tipo online.
During an event, I can use the search feature to add the actual product to the shopping cart for better inventory keeping, or I can do a "quick sale" and just enter the total amount for custom orders.
I wish it wouldve just converted that information directly from the website but it did not. Which was a bit frustrating.

Shopify POS es una aplicación fácil de usar
Puntos a favor:
Puntos a favor:
Puntos a favor:

Revolutionized My Business
Comentarios: Awesome. They’ve changed our business to one that was making $500 a month to one that has quadrupled in size in just a year.
Puntos a favor:
I have been so impressed with everything that Shopify offers. Their reporting, different integrations, website building, all of it is so impressive.
Puntos en contra:
I haven’t found anything that I don’t like about Shopify. I’ve been very impressed with them from the beginning.
Shopify POS - a good entry-level POS system for small businesses
Comentarios: Overall, my experience with Shopfiy POS has been very positive and I would highly recommend the product.
Puntos a favor:
Shopify POS was quick and easy to set up and use. Having already set up my ecommerce store in Shopify, it was a simple matter of installing the Shopify POS on my iPhone and start selling. The direct links between my store and pos for products, customers, and orders make management very streamlined. The free version (POS Lite) is full featured and meets most of the needs of my small business.
Puntos en contra:
I wish that I was able to add at least one additional staff role using the Shopify POS Lite version. I am not willing to upgrade to Pro for $89 per month just to add this feature. It would be nice if Shopify offered a mid-tier subscription... something around $30 per month.
Inventory sales
Puntos a favor:
Shopify is one of the best sets where a merchant can set his or her goods for sale this is just because it is easy to deal with and has experts to help in case of any challenge.
Puntos en contra:
It processes payments from different kinds of payment methods and also supports virtual payment methods.

A Solid Option for Small Businesses, But Not Without Its Drawbacks
Comentarios: I have a love-hate relationship with Shopify POS. On the one hand, it integrates seamlessly with Shopify E-commerce, which makes life much easier. On the other hand, it is not very useful as a standalone POS system. If you are not using Shopify E-commerce, I would recommend staying away from Shopify POS, as you will likely be disappointed with the lack of basic features. Additionally, customer support is difficult to reach and unhelpful.
Puntos a favor:
Shopify POS has a user-friendly interface that is easy to learn and use, even for new business owners. It integrates seamlessly with Shopify e-commerce, making it easy to manage both your online and in-store sales.
Puntos en contra:
Shopify POS is sluggish, slow on older devices, and incompatible with non-Shopify hardware. The Order Printer app is broken even on the native iOS platform. There is no credit card payment gateway integration for merchants in the Middle East, and no inventory reporting.

I Am Most Impressed With Shopify
Comentarios: I’m very happy with them and have convinced my friend to sign up. She is happy with it too
Puntos a favor:
I love the ease of use and learning didn’t take too much time. I use it to cash out my customers and inventory management as well as website maintenance.
Puntos en contra:
The price. The additional apps can be confusing. I wish they had better apps for social media posts. They did but the social companies pulled the apps as far as I know. I can’t afford paid ads all the time and the posts directly from my products across all socials were so helpful. Now I can only post in Facebook.

Reviews
Comentarios: The layout (templates) can be modified to a large extent without any programming knowledge. Adding products and managing payment and shipping options as well as processing orders is an absolute breeze.
Puntos a favor:
1.Support connecting to multiple sales platforms (Amazon/Facebook/Pinterest)2. Helps search engine optimization (SEO)3. More than a thousand extensions, powerful
Puntos en contra:
1.Some extensions need to be paid2.Do not support email hosting service3.Do not support hosting on third party servers4.Commission will be charged for each transaction (about 2.5% of each transaction)
Mostly good
Comentarios: Despite the minor flaws, I still use Shopify POS because it is the easiest POS solution for my business. The pricing is fine as well.
Puntos a favor:
The Shopify POS is linked to my product list, which makes it easy to select which product(s) shoppers are buying.
Puntos en contra:
It was hard to set a temporary sales tax. I live in Oregon where we don't have a sales tax, but sometimes travel to other states for conventions or shows. While at the show I need a way to set a location-based temporary sales tax and at the same time allow my online customers to check out without any sales tax. That was surprisingly hard to do last time I used Shopify POS. It's possible the problem has been fixed by now... I haven't used it since before the pandemic started.

Selling with Shopify POS
Comentarios: I really wish you using the software however it also offers somebody just starting their eCommerce business flexibility because you can be online and offline simultaneously. Implementation costs of website and also point-of-sale system is negligible if you have high demand for your products.
Puntos a favor:
It's really seamless on how the customer is notified with shipments, product back orders and also inventory so that they can make an informed decision at point of sale.
Puntos en contra:
There's always an issue with applications in that you would need to go to the main website to pull certain order shipments and tracking sales reports beyond 3 months.

Shopify POS - Far from a POS
Comentarios: Very easy to use and effective. Orders, sales, payments, it all works great.
Puntos a favor:
This is such an easy software to use on iphone and ipad. We have never had an issue with this app or the devices that connect to it. Very user friendly. My father even has no trouble.
Puntos en contra:
It hasn't failed us yet so I don't have much to complain about. I like all of the Shopify products.
Direct Sales Wizard
Comentarios: I use shopify for all my emmcommerce, bot online, and for direct sales. This makes it easy to see inventory and monitor sales. I love the ereader as well.
Puntos a favor:
I love to be able to use this at conventions to sell books. I have tried other services but this is the most complete and easy app to use.
Puntos en contra:
It is hard to get other people set up at a different location because we have to change the inventory for all the locations for events. Signing in for remote people hasn't been easy.
Shopify POS is easy to use and great for places with distinct items
Puntos a favor:
When using it to process payments, it's intuitive to use. Simply use the search bar to search product name or SKU and relevant products with photos comes up. It's best used for products with few variants or with detailed variants. In our cafe, it allows baristas to show all customizations of drinks right on the receipt which increases efficiency in our store. We can also adjust what tax applies on each order or product in the order, and can create discounts on the spot. Also, it offers a 'quick sale' function which allows the staff member to add a product without going to the back end of the system. Additionally, customers can be added to the order meaning that our stored customer information can be added once the customer is ready for checkout. This is particularly useful when some customers have credits on their accounts, or have tax-free status.
Puntos en contra:
While searching, even if the whole SKU is put in, Shopify POS (in its tile view) will only show the product, not the variant within it. Also, it doesn't show the SKU unless you press and hold the product image. This can be time-consuming and can sometimes lead to staff accidentally selecting the wrong product, despite knowing the exact SKU of the product they were looking for. Also, if our wifi ever disconnects in the store, the POS on the ipads is rendered useless. There should be some way of temporarily logging orders placed while offline then uploading them to the system. And since the latest update, it takes about 4 steps to let a customer pay once the order has been input if they are paying with debit/credit since we use external terminals.
Not a fan of the app update
Comentarios: The old POS app was very easy to use, but with the update I am thinking of switching to Square. I reached out customer service about the possibly of reverting to the old app; they respond quickly which is great, but unfortunately we are stuck with the new app which I do not think will work for our business.
Puntos a favor:
Shopify makes it easy to add and edit products to your library. It's great that it tracks inventory and can easily see sales and customer data.
Puntos en contra:
I have been using shopify pos for almost 2 years and am very disappointed with the recent upgrade. We use the pos app for farmers markets and oftentimes don't have great internet. With the new update, we cannot even get into the app without great internet. Additionally, there is a new password feature that is used to get into the app. It was not very intuitive to figure out how to turn this off and caused some problems with our staff. The new layout is not very user friendly as I find myself having to do several extra steps to complete a sale than I used to.

Shopify's POS Software makes our in-person events happen
Comentarios: My overall experience with the POS software has been extremely positive. I have only had issues when I've brought the POS Hardware into the equation with faulty and unreliable bluetooth pairing.
Puntos a favor:
What I like most about the software is the ability to use it in a few different ways. During an event, I can use the search feature to add the actual product to the shopping cart for better inventory keeping, or I can do a "quick sale" and just enter the total amount for custom orders. I really like the flexibility there.
Puntos en contra:
The pairing of the software and the hardware (credit card reader, in this case) is spotty at best. There are a lot of times that we have to manually enter CC information because we can't get the bluetooth pairing to work correctly. Would love a physical "docking" ability as a failsafe.
Needs some work to become a full featured POS system
Puntos a favor:
Relatively easy to set up with recommended hardware for not a ton of money. Runs off an iPad and supports multiple users and cash management. Isn't like a lot of the antiquated POS systems out there
Puntos en contra:
Checkout flow can be slow which is difficult when there is a long line. Wish it were better at handling exchanges and returns. Would require us to go to the web version of Shopify to get full access to order controls.
Great Option for Our Business
Puntos a favor:
Shopify POS is our main POS system for a large retail space. Easy to use and train all staff. Easy to integrate with other systems.
Puntos en contra:
The Shopify shop is a bit too templated as well as the products. Need quite a few extensions to modify and customize products.
POS is right
Comentarios: Shopify is CREATING business problems, not solving them. Their tax tables are often wrong, meaning that their screwups are effecting our profits.
Puntos a favor:
It is relatively simple to train someone on, and then to use.
Puntos en contra:
The customer support is abysmal. Shopify screwed up the tax rates. This means either we could shut down until they fixed it - which took a week - or we could charge everyone less tax than we needed to collect . . . and then pay to the municipality. Shopify couldn't care less that they had screwed this up.
Satisfied
Puntos a favor:
It makes it very easy for us to keep our inventory up to date while we are at events, and makes checking customers out very smooth.
Puntos en contra:
We seem to have issues with our Shopify card reader when we’re at events. It will quit working and then we have to manually enter card numbers, which takes longer and charges a higher fee.
Shopify - great solution for our Yoga Studio
Comentarios: It was a GREAT experience for all. The Local vendor could monitor all sales easily.
Puntos a favor:
We partnered with a local vendor to sell retail items at our Yoga Studio. This option enabled us to carry a larger selection of items without having to manage or pay for the inventory. Shopify enable us to handle the POS plus the inventory management. It's ability to show images and bar codes made training the Front Desk staff simple.
Puntos en contra:
It was another software solution for our Front Desk staff.... BUT it reduced our losses in Retail,,, actually we made money in Retail with out the costs.

Makes selling items at events super easy!
Comentarios: Over all it really makes selling items at events really easy and quick!
Puntos a favor:
I like how each product is laid out in a tile with the image on the front. It makes it very easy to identify the product and add it to the cart.
Puntos en contra:
It would be great if we could customize products with in the the app. It and adjust the taxes being charged.

Easy to use for small business
Comentarios: Shopify has been great as a shopper because it helps me have all of my information in one place.
Puntos a favor:
I really love using Shopify when I am shopping on small business sites because it is easy to use, has the option for me to put in my email to remember all of my personal information, and saves my credit cards.
Puntos en contra:
Because this is a very simple software, I don't like how it isn't able to grow with a business. Over time, a business would need to invest in a larger platform.

Quick software with nice looking UI. Easy to navigate and works well with integrated hardware
Puntos a favor:
Keeps track of all products online. Easy to make changes on the fly or take multiple types of payments.
Puntos en contra:
Does not know to merge clients (always multiples or cannot find them), does not allow to look up client info from the orders page on the app

Great to charge credit cards at shows and fairs
Comentarios: I much prefer Shopify POS than Paypal here, Stripe and Etsy reader (I tried them all).
Puntos a favor:
Easy to use, non-laggy software to process credit card payments in person. The whole catalog from my Shopify store is connected and each product can be easily added to the bill. I often use the 'Quick sale' option for fast checkouts on which we simply enter the amount to charge. Shopify sent a free credit card reader that can read chips. The charge on the reader lasts for well over a day, which is perfect when you don't have access to power.
Puntos en contra:
Sometimes (rarely) my phone and the reader won't detect each other and I have to enter the credit card number manually, which isn't ideal.
