New entrant in the LMS world focussing on UX and customization rather than backend

Comentarios: Overall very good experience

Puntos a favor:

Attractive pricing model for a solution which can be tailored. Excellent user and admin experience. Very willing and flexible team to work with. Ambitious roadmap. Nicer design compared with a lot of solutions on the market. good positioning sitting between off the shelf (take it or leave it) solutions and extremely expensive fully customizable platforms.

Partners, Not Suppliers

Puntos a favor:

As much as we like the platform itself for all of its innovative features, the aspect that has most impressed us is the customer service that The Learning Lab has given thus far. Granted, we are only just embarking on our project and as such can't comment on more than a few months' of engagement. Nonetheless, it is clear The Learning Lab are already more than simply LMS suppliers. Rather, they are our partners and will be plugged into our operation long term. In terms of the product itself, we really like the slideshow format of each lesson, with the ability to create really engaging multimedia for our learners.

Puntos en contra:

Ideally we would be able to upload our videos directly to the platform (this is possible though I understand better to use Vimeo when using large video files) and automatically generate subtitles in multiple languages. There are easy workarounds for these issues, though.

An LMS that is very friendly to users, trainers and admin staff alike

Comentarios: We want to enhance our trainees' learning experience by offering the possibility of blended learning on some of our courses. The LMS Lab is offering us a simple, user-friendly way to experiment with blended courses. We are now testing content, formats, quizzes and certification. And so far everyone is happy be they trainees, trainers or course producer (me !)

Puntos a favor:

Easily usable both from an end-user (trainee) and admin/trainer perspective; beautiful and streamlined design, easily "brandable"; the fact that we feel we have some leverage on the additional functionalities and features that can be developed is a plus. The excellent and personable relations we have with Penceo marketing, creative and support team.

Puntos en contra:

We are still in the process of discovering how to best use the platform. There are a few functionalities that are missing - such as a course assessment form or the possibility to create a discussion forum for the trainees.

My experience with theLearning LAB

Comentarios: Learning Lab is customer-oriented and user-friendly. I have only good experience with this platform; it can be adapted to customer needs as well as look & feel. Perfect for different industries!

Puntos a favor:

This product is easy to use and very user-friendly. I especially like the possibility to brand the e-learning platform with your own branding & design it as you wish. The company is very open to some updates or new features; thus, it's customer-centric which is a high advantage. Its big asset is slide builder, the authoring tool. Besides, I appreciate manual assessment possibility as it opens new door to exciting experiences in terms of e-learning.

Puntos en contra:

Tests & statistics are already on a good level but might be improved. Having said that, the platform is constantly developed so improving these two aspects is in progress.

Best Creative tool

Comentarios: Easy to use, great support from the team, regular innovative features realise. The feeling of working with a create system like web flow so I can create, build and manage my courses and communities without limitation. Very much the most modern and advance system of the market

The Authoring tool and the branding capacity as well as the collaborative options. Very innovative solution.

Thoughtfully structured, easy to use LMS with clean design

Comentarios: TheLearningLab has been incredibly helpful for our non-profit organization as we move into providing more online trainings around the world. This LMS is allowing us to scale both our internal staff training and the external training we provide to youth sport program managers worldwide in a way that is low-cost and actually fun! TheLearning Lab team have been super great to work with, always responding to any questions we have and even providing training and support via video calls when needed. We highly recommend them!

We thought very hard before selecting our LMS, and what we liked about TheLearning Lab was that the platform provided everything that we needed to launch our very first e-learning platform, with very little customization needed or technical know-how in terms of content creation. The team at TheLearning Lab are really e-learning professionals and met with us to help us learn about the potential for the platform and how it could fit with our needs. They also gave us some good tips about content creation since they provide this service to some clients (though we are creating our own course content in-house). We like that the backend structure where the courses are created actually mirrors how the courses appear to users. This sounds simple but some of the other course authoring softwares that we tried were really not intuitive to use at all! The simplicity of this LMS means that we will soon train several people on our team to help with creating and editing courses, meaning we can create content much faster. Other things we really like are: - Unlimited users at no extra cost (no hidden or unknown costs as we scale) - Ability to assign users to different audiences, gives it versatility that allows us to easily provide different content for staff training versus external online courses - Ability to set up single sign-on from our website - Gamification such as badges - Several other languages possible via integrated DeepL API key

Puntos en contra:

Their LMS is missing a couple of the interactive features that a previous LMS had, for example the ability to give feedback for incorrect quiz answers (currently feedback is only possible for correct answers) and small things like flip cards with images (not just text). However TheLearningLab LMS is constantly being upgraded with new features and the Penceo team have been responsive to requests for additional features, which makes a big difference compared to dealing with a faceless software company.

We were looking for a LMS and Authoring tool in one which was designed to set up courses with interactive video, mobile, infographics, gamification and which was particularly easy to style in our clients corporate identity.

The tool is quite new which means some of the features need to become a bit mature. But the great thing is that the dev team quickly adds new features and works close with us to achieve the best result. So in fact this turned out to be a strength

Strong Content Creation LMS

Comentarios: Our experience to-date has been great, we've found the entire team very helpful and eager to work with us in every aspect of our LMS roll-out within the company.

The system has an amazing content creator tool which allows you to easily create learning materials from scratch. The system is very intuitive so doesn't take much training to get up to speed and the User Interface means the end-user experience is engaging and exciting.

We've only had the system for a shirt amount of time, but what the system doesn't currently have available the team has offered to help build in or is already on their system development road-map.

User friendly platform that engaged a lot of our stakeholders!

From administration to the user interface, the platform really helped us engaged end to end. It is a turnkey solution for all your learning capabilities.

It required from us to run a few integrations for Single Sign on, but it was very smooth.

The platform is very ergonomic and allows you to build all types of training programs.The point that impressed me the most and that I find very interesting is the coaching approach. It's not a classic LMS.With this platform you will be able to build real training and coaching models over the long term.

In the beginning, it was difficult to create content from scratch that didn't already exist.It wasn't easy to understand the organization of classes, courses and lessons.But with a quick training session with someone on the team, I took charge of creating my various lessons very easily.

The authoring tool is very easy to use and allows the translation of the content via Google Chrome reducing costs and offerirng a better service (more than 100 languages available)

sometimes the templates are not fully customable but, with a discussion with the agency, I can express my requests and see if possible to implement.

An eLearning Platform that enables truly diverse and customisable content

Comentarios: In addition to a great piece of software, the development team behind the scenes were very friendly and quick to resolve any small issues or questions we had. We reviewed many other LMS platforms before choosing this one, and it was a combination of the UX (from the perspective of both user and administrator) and quality of service that led us to sign up.

Puntos a favor:

This LMS offers a little bit of everything, which really helps when presenting a course (which we did) that isn't entirely focused on videos. The way the platform is designed means that you can watch videos, view photos, read pdfs and participate in quizzes. The UX is visually appealing, customisable and intuitive. All of our participants liked interacting with the course we set up for them.

Puntos en contra:

The quiz function could have benefited from a greater diversity of quiz varieties. As the platform develops further, I would be excited to see slightly more interactive/dynamic features.

On my research in a LMS which combines user friendly features, branding possibilities and gamification, this is on my opinion the best platform on the market.

The platfom is still in development and some features (such as Social involvment) and tailor-made needs are noThis give also the opportunity to the cusot possible. However the Learning LAB is constantly releasing new features and is developing the platform very fast.

Longterm implementation

Comentarios: We are happy with the system although we know that it still requires some development. We have good expectations about the positive results. Very soon we will know better, as the implementation of the platform started a few weeks ago.

Integration was relatively easy, especially once we understood the functionality and limits of the system's tools.

The platform still shows some instabilities (videos stopped working), although the technical support was efficient and fast.

Comentarios: I really like the support and the initiative of the team behind it to help us designing the platform we want.It was the right choice to go with the LL!

The software is intuitive and it is fun to work with it. It offers to provide contents to different audiences which serves us well and which offers an option to reach out to all our partners on their levels. The software allows our training system to grow naturally and integrate change and innovation.

There are some formatting issues that I would like to be able to control more, e.g. size ratios on one slide on different devices. However, I know the team strives for improvement so probably it will be better soon.

Great product and great people

Comentarios: From first contact up to now the experience with the Software and the Team was really great. Support is always there when we need it. The exchange happens in a pure "why not?" attitude which perfectly matches with our culture of product development.

Usage of the backend is not always intuitive. However, once you get used to it, you quickly get to the speed needed for content design and uploading.
