PostgreSQL - Robustes y Seguridad en Bases de Datos

Comentarios: La fasilidad de hacer BKs configurar Jobs, analizar querys y definir data tables, triggres, referencias, entre otros hace del uso y experiencia de utilizar y administrar PostgreSQL muy satisfactoria.

Puntos a favor:

PostgreSQL ofrece un potente motor de bases de datos que brinda una robustes para la administración de BD ademas de una devirsificación de herramientas para trabajar con los Data Tables, triggers, punteros, etc, el análisis de querys permite al administrador porder determinar los aspectos donde deben mejorarse los querys.

Puntos en contra:

Las opciones de configuración y personalización que nos ofrece PostgreSQL si bien son muchas, hay algunas de mayor importancia y hay que configurarlas o setearlas hasta finalizado el proceso de instalación, siendo que podria incluirse en este proceso para que no se invierta tiempo en hacer estas personalizaciones o configuraciones minimas.

Lo que mas me ha gustado del producto es que es muy fácil de utilizar y cuando uno tiene un error en la consulta, te dice en donde está el error.

Lo que menos me ha gustado que se pone muy lento al utilizar querys muy largas.

Me encanta que es una de las mejores base de datos relacional del mercado, usamos PostgreSQL para nuestros proyectos de desarrollo web, ofrece estabilidad y escalabilidad.

Un poco confusa la instalación, tuve algunos percances en su despliegue, pero fue más por mi desconocimiento.

Sql managment for everyone

Comentarios: I have used postgresql to create difficult subqueries, the implementation is easy and scalability is a game changer.

It uses more resources than other Sql Managers and it´s difficult to undertant the unique features when I started using it.

The diagram feature isn't as customizable as I would prefer.

Relational database with less capability

Comentarios: It is used when a commercial partner vendor introduces a commercial system and creates a small-scale system. If you connect multiple units, it is easy to use with a response that can support the operation without installing a dedicated server machine. When using packaged software in a large-scale system, there may be restrictions on the number of data elements and the number of servers connected, but we were able to reduce installation and operation costs. I was able to keep the cost of the database low and spend money on packaged software options.

Since it was developed to comply with SQL standards, there are no problems migrating from other RDBMS. I think the popularity of MySQL as an RDBMS is split in two, but PostgreSQL does not have the following MySQL keylogging problem, so it can be said that it is an RDBMS with little custom. We recommend PostgreSQL as the first choice for RDBMS unless otherwise specified because it works stably and can support real operations. When a small business is a customer's system project, the RDBMS license fee is often too high to pay. In such cases, customers will be happy to propose PostgreSQL, which is stable, reliable, and free to use. Unless it is a situation that requires a paid database, I think PostgreSQL is sufficient. It is not inferior to the function.

When you are looking for something you want to look up in a manual, it is often difficult to find it and, in the end, you often consult blog articles written by experts instead of the manual. I want the structure of the manual to be easy to understand.

It is fast, reliable and scalable; the perfect RDBMS in my humble opinion.

One thing that i dislike from PostgreSQL is it's hard to setup and install PostgreSQL at the beginning. Especially the syntax and command that PostgreSQL use.

Reliable and performant RDBMS

Much better performance and consistency vs other RDBMS, eg MySQL. It doesn't hide the complexity beyond being a DBA, which is kind of a double edged sword.

Manual intervention needed for version upgrades, but nothing terrible.

I love using PostgreSQL for the following main reasons, firstly databases with a lot of data can be stored, it is possible to have different settings for various databases on a same server and on top that it costs nothing to use PostgreSQL since it is an open source software.

I have used this several times while I was studying and in my company also. t supports ACID properties and it can handle high traffic. I can use database indexing, different data types. functions, aggregates and complex queries. There's a huge community support and I asked for assistance twice from them.

I doubt the performance of this when I handle complex queries.

My choice for IoT

Comentarios: We have deployed 100 of PostgreSQL instances as the back-end for state owned LMS. Databases are well performing and never receive any complaints regarding performance after the GO-LIVE. We have deploy PostgreSQL for simple web application to the enterprise grade internet banking app.

Postgresql (psql) is a great way to start with "serious" RDBMS

Comentarios: Postrgresql was a DB engine for our retail stores cashier system. TCO was 20% compared to Oracle (including hardware and support). Fast, flexible and with great support of programming languages, with API compatibility helped us to run a full scale retail chain (16 offline stores) with real time stock management in our online store.

- free (open source) does not mean witout costs. Sometimes it is very hard to find a specialist that can properly handle PG issues - not present at most of hosting services (but you can always run a virtual machine on AWS EC2) - less tools for data manipulation/analysis compared to MySQL
