Jane really did run my clinic. I used already a clinic software when I switched to Jane some years ago, but Jane was a game changer. All trivial (but important) tasks were all of a sudden automated: appointment reminders, Covid-screening forms (of it's day), intake forms etc.. I could tailor both forms that got sent out, and that I used when taking notes in an instant. Printing invoices / receipts after a treatment no longer needed my receptionist's help and was done in a second's time. It looked professional and was always accurate. Once the feature of making or changing appointments online became available, I embraced it as I seemed to have a lot of late night emails asking for appointments. I could tailor who can book or change online with what notice and conditions. I could also determine what they would see, how busy or empty a shift was etc. Jane as a software has changed and improved all the time. But Jane wasn't just a software, as there is a Jane community behind it. There are empowering webinars, newsletters, and solution focused groups, all with the same objection of perfecting supportive patient care, good note keeping and smooth clinic operation. I still remember the first time I used the app on my mobile phone while at tennis to check my dairy, and book in my tennis opponent that got injured. I also liked that I could amend a chart long after I got home and remembered that I never wrote down that extra information the patient told me when he was leaving the clinic. > > **Desventajas**: My patients could pay online for their appointments with Stripe (which was good) but I would have preferred it if the payment could have been taken with my own card machine SumUp as I found Stripe was lacking payment information that I could easily get with SumUp. Also, I liked using Jane diary so much, that I started to use it for appointments of a different kind, such as staff meetings, interviews, clinic maintenance appointments for builders/cleaners etc. Unfortunately, there was no way of searching for these diary entries other than manually. Perhaps that is a function that will come in the future. > > Jane gave my clinic an operational and professional uplift. It freed up a lot of time and energy which was more than an offset for its cost. It was fun to work with both during charting and operational tasks, and patients loved it too. They could book and change appointments, pay, download documents that I wanted them to have (letters, exercise prescription, MRI reports etc), they received forms to fill in and appointment reminders. All and every contact looked professional and modern. I probably only used half of what the software could have done for me and when I was out of my depth, Jane's customer service was super helpful and personal.
